Yeah, it is. You just have to code all the triggers etc. yourselves. Map editor considers maps SP/MP depending on the MultiplayerOnly= setting under [Basic] section of the map if viewed in text editor. It's also available in Final Alert 2 in Edit -> Basic menu. '0' means singleplayer, '1' multiplayer. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
First I have tried to convert multiplayer .yrm mission to singleplayer using the method described in FA documentation, but it doesn't work - black screen when I run the game.
Quote:
5. Converting Single And Multiplayer Maps
FinalAlert 2: Yuri's Revenge TM allows you to convert singleplayer maps to multiplayer maps and vice versa. To convert from singleplayer to multiplayer:
1) Click on File->New
2) Multiplayer map
3) Import Map
4) Browse for your map
5) Click OK.
6) Save the map as .mpr in the RA2 directory
FinalAlert 2: Yuri's Revenge TM will now automatically repair the map and produce a multiplayer map. Please note that any building and unit on the map should be given to the neutral player (or special player). FinalAlert 2: Yuri's Revenge TM does not do this automatically.
Converting multiplayer maps to singleplayer maps works the same way, but don’t check the multiplayer option, and make sure you save as .map file.
Should I go deeply in the documentation and learn triggers etc or is there any simple way to do it?
I do not like MP missions, I have played all SP missions available for downloading on the net, several times, now seeking new SP mission, but there are no, thought it is easy to convert them from MP, but I do not want to go very deep in map editing things

SP mapping is all about triggers and events. The documentation is barebone minimum to set up an event and victory conditions.
Generally all SP maps consist of:
x player units
x enemy units
win condition (1 or more)
lose condition (1 or more)
You can directly extract vanilla missions from the CD using XCC mixer which help you understand the complexity of SP mapping. Alternatively open maps you have downloaded and check their events etc. Also ensure beginner mode in FA2 is off.
This is why so few modifications have an SP campaign - its requires good understanding of mapping and good design if you don't want an glorified skirmish.
An good knowledge of INI editing is also incredibly useful (capturable nukes in ra2 mission as example)
Also the reason it black screens is because you have not determined settings like who is player, what are his enemies etc. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
