So, you may have heard of this, Gas Powered Games is working on a new action-RPG type of game, mixed with MOBA and RTS elements. They also have a very amazing set of tools (Project Mercury) meant for mapping and modding, which will be released with the game, and will be used for future GPG games, RTS included. Suffice to say this set of modding and mapping tools is amazing and on-par with StarCraft II's. (Watch the 8 development videos to be amazed)

The project still needs funds and it has almost 2 weeks left for funding to reach the 1.1 mil $ goal on kickstarter.

Recently everything is on Kickstarter, except Age of Decadence.

That's why I like AoD. It just got greenlighed to Steam last month. And by doing all work alone, with some preorders as backup funding (which only allowed to be ordered around Public Beta 2). And those are indie developers.

Also GPG uhm... DS1 was cool, DS2 ain't much.

Hey, GPG, whatever happened to Demigod? You know, your earlier foray into MOBA genre.

the bad thing sbout GPG is they leave the game immediately after game finish. they should keep support on demigod instant of make the new one...

atleast i like DS1 , Demigod and Supreme Commander 1-2 but all of them have worst performance...

Hmmm was it GPG who was doing an RTS about Warring Robots fighting over terraforming some planets? And someone said its art style was similar to TF2

Nah, it's Planetary Annihilation by Uber Entertainment. Granted that some of the people involved in that project are former GPG employees.

And then GPG got bought by Wargaming. All hail Serb and the upcoming World of Commanders.

Hmm I had missed the news of Wargaming.net acquiring GPG, still I just noted that GPG failed on achieving the kickstarter funding for 'Wildman' which no doubt played part.

Admittedly I had zero interest in wildman and seemingly same for many others.

GPG can do nice stuff but their engine performance is often not ideal but they do push the edge more than typical developer atleast except lately...
