Voxelgeddon: Apocalypse Tank Remake [RA2/YR]
Subject description: Dupl3xxx's Entry - 4th Place
Aro
Detail: 8/10
Colours, Details and shading are all good. There is plenty of attention to detail all round, the shape of the voxel however irritates me slightly. The voxel feels like it is unecessarily stretched out and elongated, but aside from that, excellent.
In-game Result: 7/10
A lot of the detailing is maintained in-game so that's great. Some parts of the voxel are hard to make-out however at many angles and the colouring seems too bright to me. But the result is excellent, despite the aforementioned blending issue.
Creativity: 5/10
I'm sorry, but again, this is just one of those things that has been done so many times before. Another super heavy tank, mammoth/apocalypse/overlord remake, dual-barrel tank without a unique shape, etc. But at least it's a very well made heavy tank.
Overall - 20/30
I don't have much else to say about the voxel, but it's good to see you back in action again!

Detail: 8/10
Good use of colour variation and shading, good remap locations too. Each section of this unit has had a nice attention to detail added, nothing looks out of place or at all boring.
In-game Result: 7/10
In-game this voxel seems to come off rather well although it does appear a little bit too bright at some angles and a bit messy when facing Southern angles however that is slightly down to the RA2 normals system I suspect. The details on the voxel for the most part remain intact and look good, my only gripe is that the tracks look ever so slightly too thin.
Creativity: 6/10
A nice take on the classic CnC double barrelled tank design and whilst not something new this large unit looks great. The turret and barrels have been well catered for in detail and the main body is definitely imposing with the frontal spikes / guard. My only complaint is that the body looks slightly too thin for the height and potential "power" of that turret if firing when rotated, however it is a minor complaint at that.
Overall - 21/30

Detail: 8/10
This is a rather nicely detailed voxel, with good texturing and rather intricate psychical design to boot. There's plenty of 'shape' there that, coupled with the texturing, makes it rather pleasing to look at.
Ingame Results: 6/10
Ingame it looks pretty good too though I think as I said having more obvious missile pods would help and definitely the skewed proportions just look a little bit odd.
Creativity: 6/10
At the end of the day this is just another tier-3 heavy tank, rather Overlord-esque. Despite it's nice technical quality I'm not sure there's a huge amount of creativity. The missile pods could be more visible and the barrels a little bit better defined. Curiously it is incredibly long and thin, like a limo-Apocalypse or something, which looks really odd IMO.

Thank you all for the fair judgment.
It's great to be back! About the "elongated" feel of the tank, it had 3 pairs of tracks originally, but that was just absurd (will check if I still got that version this weekend(currently on vacation)).
I do expect to upload a lot of my old voxels the coming weeks, all of which are from my abandoned project "Blue Crystal".
And again, great to be back. Good to see most of you still around! (gufu and Yuri07 still here?). _________________ This is a signature QUICK_EDIT

REPLY to Voxelgeddon: Apocalypse Tank Remake [RA2/YR]
I am going to use your tank in my new mod in order to fix it.
My advanced apocalypse has no image so I'm going to use yours until I can get a more unique Tank.
I well put your tag name into the 'special thank you.TXT' that well come with my MOD.
