Subject description: Incorrect Palette index usage on x86 OS
Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread

Good day to all.

In x86, I'm experiencing some problem on gclock2.shp inside the sidec03.mix (Designated to ThirdSide), which is modified to use another color, but is always using the same palette index of the gclock2 in sidec02.mix. (Like it's ignoring its own gclock2).

But in x64 OS it works properly (Still can't make 0.5 to run in it; currently in 0.4)

Tried changing from 0.5 to 0.4 in x86 and still the same issue. I'm using the same files in x86 and x64.

Thanks for any help in advance!

Now I'm thinking. The whole setup sounds like if MIX loadup ends up with a different order in x86 and x64.

Look at your debug-files. You must have seen something like this twice below each other (maybe without the releasing part first)

Code:
Preparing Mixfiles for Side 02.
     Releasing SIDEC03.MIX
     Initilizing SIDEC03MD.MIX
     Initilizing SIDEC03.MIX
     Initilizing SIDENC03.MIX

What I assume is that on the two of your systems, the two orders of the mix will be different (and if yes, the top overrides the bottom).

Checked both logs of x86 and x64 in the part that you mentioned and the result is the same:

Preparing Mixfiles for Side 02.
    Initilizing SIDEC03MD.MIX
    Initilizing SIDEC03.MIX
    Initilizing SIDENC03.MIX

I've attached both of the log files if you want to take a look.

Thank you as always!
