Any fiddling with them, sliding the boundaries around makes everything go up, and locks into two possible positions only, small and smaller.

Further, it changes scale, so the panes having shrunk, automatically shrink the model view in them, but won't reset when trying to enlarge.. which really sucks on larger voxels.

It also appears the voxel view will randomly flip left to right when switching views, and nudge becomes reversed too I believe?

I used the SVN version btw...

*EDIT* Ummm so I grabbed the one that's 15hrs old, which should be r491 but the about box still says 232...

The about box is correct. There is a difference between SVN revision and program version.

I can commit things to the SVN that may not necessarily alter the version of the program. I.e.: OS Voxel Viewer is in the same SVN repository than VXLSE III. So, if I update that program instead of VXLSE III, there is no reason to change the version of VXLSE III.

Regarding the magnification problem, I'll investigate it further.

Update: Revision 492 is more clear about the magnification level. The default magnification level in these 1.4 betas was always 7x. This is why 1x or 3x are considerably smaller than the original magnification level.

Does this mean the right side panes are still auto-magnified?

Did you try sliding the edges up and down for each pane and see how it screws up the bounds?

Nothing ever screw with bounds from either panel. O_o

Bounds are fixed in the header, you need to go to header properties to mess with them.

Why would you ever mess with those? O_o

The right side panels have a fixed magnification. If you change their size, you'll just crop them or extend them, but the magnification stays the same. If you need a bigger view of these sides, use the 3D preview panel that are below them... or use the 3D preview window. Different magnifications for the right panels are redundant when you have a 3D preview and 3D preview window.

It would be nice with widescreen's these days to allow auto-scaling, or at least 2-3 possible fixed scales when widening the side panes...

It scales 2 right side panels as well. You can increase the toolbar magnification tool to say 13x on the main workspace
and then switch with one of side panel views. Also the right side panel adjustments depend on the height of the VXLSE
window height. If you increase the window height of the tools itself, you can also increase the top-right panel. It is not
smooth though, checked with r492.
