Subject description: a new realistic mod
Hi everyone and thanks for coming i was planing for this summer with a mod called Modern Warfare (no relations with COD its going to be realistic) using Ares 0.9 the mod is set in 2015 with the war in libya and yeman and Ukrain the tension is raising .

so right now im buzy with GTA V for PC (sorry folks)but the mod is still in devlopment stage we need some voxel enhacers(i mean that i make the voxels and they ENHACE it get it) QUICK_EDIT

Nice advice and also rescaling the infantry to 75/50% for the voxels 3ds2vxl with some enhacments and one more thing i thing that no one voted for USA XD QUICK_EDIT
The only voxels that need downscaling would be the war factory ones to TS Size if you're aiming for realistic scale while retaining unit readability without resorting to full unit remap. now lets post more info:
Each country will have 3 brenches(exepct USA and Russia with 4 Brenchs)each brench have diferent special units,SW and airstrikes and tactics for example: US Army have experianced infantry while USAF have experianced multirole fighters USMC have marines and veteran Amphibious units while the USN have some experianced and special Warships QUICK_EDIT

-a voxels maker
-someone to pack SHPs (i have the frames but cant pack them)
-an Artwork maker

If it's realistic, then most countries will use the same vehicles made by America/England/Russia/China/Germany/France, with very few really unique ones.
What you will see is some variation on the models used, the same tank with a bigger or shorter gun, the same plane with 1 or 2 pilots, etc.
There's really only two cases where you have unique units, one is where you have a wealthy dictator who can order highly custom units, or buy experimental designs; the other is where you have a smaller nation with a poor economy, where labour is cheap, and home grown industries are born from existing infrastructure like Czechoslovakia.
You should try General's Game or Code Red. Both they are Yuri revenge mod and have many real life tank, ship and aircraft. But you need permission from YuriLee or Mig Eater before use some in-game assets. (And many mod have many real life thing like this but all are dead long year ago, I can't remenber) _________________ Under 2 year in conscription for socialism. QUICK_EDIT
if possible you oughta make maps bigger (I think biggest size is 200x200) also try not to them symmetric since we are basing them on realism and pick real places of combat (sorry this might overwhelming) QUICK_EDIT
and read what each country uses in their army. If they use alot of vehicles it is best to sort and use only the most practical and (maybe) the ones that are build the most. Then voxel them, write the code, balance, ala-bala and you are done.

You don't have to follow current countries you know...
You could use some of the former states that are within a new country, like Prussia, Belarus, or Kurdistan.

Hi every one i know that there isn't any playable mod but the work started today (the real work voxeling, coding...)
so for the early alpha there will be only one country which is Russia then i will make the USA and Algeria for pure Alpha
now let's talk about the gameplay:
realism is the main rule here so :
-no more fast tanks scouting the entire map in seconds
-no more tesla,mirage,prism or any irrealistic ideas
-no more "unlimited money in late war" thing
-more balance but keeping the realism
-new armor system so no more "wood","flak" ...
-realistic scale
-new AI system with special strategys for each country(Russian armored strikes,USMC expeditionary unit...)
-Brenchs for each side each with diffirent units,SW and tactics so you don't play the battle the same way twice
-realistic maps in term of locations so Washington DC,Bagdad,Bengazi,Moscow...
-new integrated dogfights and fighters protecting your airspace
-new Mass destruction Weaponry with Nukes,ICBM , Chemicals...

They have microwave beam guns to hurt people by heating them up, but there's no way you can make a directional and predictable tesla coil weapon.
It's like lightning, it will ground to whatever is easiest or more welcoming to the path with ions, sometimes that means a tree, sometimes a person, sometimes nothing at all. If anything a realistic tesla tank would be uncontrollably omnidirectional, lightning bursts in many directions at once, which would make it tactically more like the MADD tank of old.

Tesla Tank in real life
Come to find, back in 1948, Kotin's construction bureau designed a tank, equipped with dual Tesla coils. Tank was fully electrical, as in - propelled by electrical motors. Power supply was a portable - yes - nuclear reactor designed by Kurchatov's bureau. Power output was 0.9 MWt.
Dual Tesla coils created a channel of ionized air reaching out up to 4.5 km, with several thousand amperes of striking force.
Entire idea was to fry opponent tank electrical everything and then simply pick it up, replace electronics, and possibly reuse.
Believe it or not, probing grounds real tank tests were done 1951 through 1954 and then, for reason unknown to anyone, tank was dismantled and idea abandoned upon Khrushchev personal order, the man who obsessed with rockets and did not believe into anything else.
I like how well researched that forum post you link to is. All those citations and primary and secondary accounts! It's some solid history you've dug up there!

only wanted to say that i begun the work GFXs that is so im working with blender right now this topic will be silent for some amount of time so until i will make a gameplay video with some comments to explain what this is all about and one more thing MIG EATER it was 4 years before not 2 lol QUICK_EDIT
I started making a genuine mod only after investigating the tools available, in the beginning I just rebalanced everything (and improved the AI) just with the .ini files, as I had done with previous C&C games. When I started the mod I already had much of the technical stuff in place, changing AI teams to support new units was cake, and I was already fully aware of the balance changes I made.
In short, I was refining the game with each addition I made, later additions sometimes forced me to move a unit to another house, or even switch sides. The key being that it was step by step, not some grand re-imagining of the universe. It's a lot easier to stay motivated (and inspired) when you get to immediately see it growing organically, not waiting for some far off day for a load of updates to magically happen.
I remember parallel to my efforts Deezire's mod had become popular, but was riddled with crashes, he always claimed it was a side effect of pushing the limits, and screwing with the tables. I suspected it was his AI, but I wasn't going to go diagnose it for him haha

The Zubr is the main Amphibious Landing craft for the Russian Marine tho being bigger then it's US counterpart the "LCAC" the Zubr take the role of both a landing craft and a LPD by supporting Storming the beach.
