We officially declared WAR against fatal errors!

Since some weeks ago, phpbb forums hosted by mbarron.net (or hosted networks like CnC Guild) started to give some fatal errors to its users in the most visited time. This happens because the system memory of the machine we are hosted at is overloaded. Each site can use up to 8mb and PPM (for some weird reason and even with no changes) started to bypass this limit frequently scaring its visitors with fatal errors.

After complaining for some weeks, I decided to take some action. I cannot solve this problem, but I can reduce its frequency by reducing server load from PPM's part. The site index was lightly optimized and I am using template cache for phpBB.

The site will load a bit faster and the ammount of fatal errors will reduce severely. If you still see them, please reply here saying the time (in Greenwitch Time Zone) that it happened. Sorry for any inconvenience and thanks, in advance, for cooperating.

Note: 404 error is NOT fatal error.

Please, do not confuse this. Sometimes I do also have 404 errors, although they are rare...

Im not sure if its related but every time I log in for the first time I get some error. I have to type in www.ppmsite.com again or www.ppmsite.com/forum. Also I have had truble posting attachments. Confused

as I said in another post, attachments will only work when we fire the nuke, in early march.

I also recommend to not login in the site, do it in the forum. This happens due to DNS problems. There is nothing I can do to solve it... until I launch the nuke Wink

I just had i guess ten to twelve fatal errors on the forums index, the time is 7.05 to 7.07 (GMT + 1.00 in Netherlands) I only got quick out of it be constantly refreshing the page.
