Glad to see PPM with SSL - https://ppmforums.com/

SSL works fine on newer browsers of Firefox/Opera/Vivaldi etc., but Old Opera
v12.xx asks for accepting the certificate.

It says:
The server's certificate did not match its hostname.

Thought I would report about it as the SSL button on the bottom of the page
says so to make sure.

lol, why are you even using that? Opera 12 is only useful as irc client, these days.

Actually, the problem is on www.ppmforums.com. SSL for it doesn't work. However, if you remove the www, it works.

I still haven't announced the SSL support, because all my attempts to fix this issue (and few others) did not work as expected.

If you want to figure out the problem:

I guess there are 2 elements common to all pages at ppmforums.com that
causes the certificate warning with or without login. When I reject the
certificate warning, I have to do it twice on every page of ppmforums.
Exceptions, the login page where it is only one. Reply to a post causes 3.

The site starts with the lock icon on address bar but turns to normal icon
while loading the page as if it is still http site.

No problems with *.ppmsite.com.

The problem was already solved, since I've forced everyone to go with https://ppmforums.com (without www).

Both of my above posts are with https://ppmforums.com/ URLs. Problem
still exists with this site, which becomes evident when using Opera 12.xx
browser.

Nope. There isn't. I've tested in my Opera and what you complained has happened here... but...I've cleared cookies and data from other sites in Settings -> Privacy -> Clear Navigation Data* and my problems suddenly vanished.

* I don't know the exact name because my Opera is in portuguese from Brazil.

You are lucky that I still have it in my machine.

Anyway, there is no real problem with that.

It tries to catch the www.ppmforums.com certificate before it redirects to ppmforums.com, but when it complains about the certificate, it has already redirected to the correct address. Even if you click in refuse on the certificate warning, it still shows the connection as safe.

Anyway, it is a bug of an old version of a browser. There is nothing I can do on my side to avoid it.
