I'll drop random (mostly TD/RA1-esque) artwork around, but also various stuff I'm occasionally working on just for the sake of fun.
First stop: Russian war poster.
Somewhere, in this timeline, after the Germans won WW1, the Russian Republic became a country of the Revolution.
A democratic Constitution was instituted, with rights for all men of the Motherland. However, this didn't stop the influence of the Generals, nor the influence of the Orthodox Church...
That doesn't make any sense, the Bolshevik revolution was never about democracy, it was about forced class equality between labourers and producers, with the unspoken isolation of actual power to control/direct a centrally planned socio-economic structure. It was a ruse, they lied, it was a bottom-up revolution only to takeover the levers of power and impose a new order that suppressed humanity and individualism, a democracy would be antithetical to that.
Presumably this is if the october revolution failed and the february revolution remained. Though if Germany won (well, even if they didn't - it happened IRL) I doubt they would've let that happen, afterall they were involved in furthering along the Russian revolution as we know it, particularly by aiding Lenin and the workers/socialists/leftists etc with the idea of collapsing the country and knocking them out of the war. If they had won I doubt they'd let a stable Russia remain at all. QUICK_EDIT
I'm not interested in historical accuracy. There will be other, socialist countries in this (potential) project, in their own faction. By absurd, I presume the US would've intervened in Russia instead of WW1, in help of the White movement, in a similar manner they intervened in Central and South America in the early 1900's - they'd be key economic lines (via the Transsiberian railway, for example).
The scenario goes this route. Somehow, a new Constitution gets signed, similar to some degree to the one of the US.
I don't really plan a detailed storyline, but I want something totally different. QUICK_EDIT
On one side, I started trying to model in Blender. Blender's pretty cool, and I like that it feels more straightforward than 3dsmax. Bear with me, as I haven't modelled stuff in years.
With regards to scale and realism - I don't have a particular engine in mind, I'll just be doing occasional artwork stuff. The warfactory is currently in TD/RA1 isometric view.
The poster doesn't feel authentic enough. It's too obviously made in photoshop. The film grain feels very artificial, and it doesn't seem to affect the white border or the font at all. If you study old posters, you'll notice the film grain/wear marks (both black and ones that reveal the background colour) come in various sizes, and instead of pure white, the paper colour is creamy, with a tint of yellow. Exempli gratia:
I'm curious though, what do the three arrows represent? _________________
