Return of the Dawn and It Came from Red Alert
Subject description: Assets
So umm... ICFRA! and ROTD have been dormant for quite sometime, and the devs aren't talking to me about it at all, so I thought I'd ask here if anyone knows better or can still reach 'em.
(Also: sorry admins if this is the wrong place. I really need to read the rules some time...)
Basically, what I want to know is whether or not the SHPs and VXLs for these two mods can be used by other mods or just mine (that is, if anyone's allowed to use 'em at all).
The reason simply being that I would love to put in pre-RA2 (RA1) tech in for the first few missions and TD-tech for the final confrontation.
I tend to release things I create so that assets are never lost to hard drive problems, accidental deletion, or me having to pretend to care about rippers taking things from my project when it is done.
Not sure about It Came from Red Alert, but there is a full set of RA Structures for RA2 available to public on this forum. I think it is called Project Paradox. Looks like it is Paradox Device

AFAIK assets for both mods are not open for public use. You'd need to get permission from the mods creators. DAZ (ICFRA) isn't active in the community any more so I'm doubtful you'd get a response from him. Reaperrr (ROTD) however is still active here at ppm & is part of the OpenRA team.
BTW You can convert the Paradox Device buildings in SHP Builder to the normal RA2 pallet in a few clicks. As for RA1 voxels, I have the vxl files for Paradox Device, which I've been planing to post but haven't got around to. I currently cant upload any files tho so you'll have to be patient. _________________

I'm not a leech. I just look at something, if I find it's good enough, I try to come up with something it could be used/useful for.
