Cross-over Proposal
My (relatively slowly-progressing) mod, Continuum, will include the Time Machine as a tech structure, functioning like a secret lab: it can be used to summon a random unit from the future or past to aid its owner in battle. One may get as unlucky as receiving a medieval cataphract, as decent as receiving a dinosaur, or as fortunate as receiving a futuristic mecha or a Star Trek spaceship. I have considered that the last case is not necessarily just a reach into the future, but also into a parallel timeline, namely the Star Trek universe.
Perhaps the Time Machine could grant units from parallel timelines, not just different time periods, making it a gimmick-y cross-over device that could let units and characters from other fictional universes have cameo appearances in my mod. Cross-overs between my mod and the universes of other mods could be implemented. Would anyone be interested in a cross-over (perhaps mutual) between my mod and theirs in this fashion?
This is not really a question related strictly to Red Alert 2 or the Red Alert timeline and its derivatives, much less to the methods of modding itself or the particular game engine the RA2/YR universe is modelled in - if your mod is based upon another timeline (say, the Tiberian or Generals timeline, or something else altogether) or makes use of another engine, I'd be just as happy to include it as well. _________________

Hmm... My mod will use some RA3 tech as StolenTech. The rest will be used as over-powered weapons. But you'll need them for two special missions.
I also have other units, but... I'd rather you wait until I finally upload a play-through for one of my skirmish-modes (and am finally done with the skirmish-code) before you ask for details.

...you know what? That's a pretty nice idea, but my mod ain't ready yet, and it includes more OBVIOUSLY POSSIBLE Political Outcomes, such as how Yuri got executed, and New World Power Leaders...

I didn't add the SecretLabs fixes and expansion. Not sure who did it, because I can only look until about March 2009. I would presume it was DCoder and not pd, because I see no comments. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
