What happened to PlanetCnC?
I remember when i first discovered command and conquer (i was a little kid that time) i visited that planet cnc website with that planet earth image behind the logo, i tried to look for the website again since 2015 and it had a note that it's archived, but this year i visited it again but instead it shows some ads with a note that you may want to buy this domain, however another similar site called planet command and conquer, it's still surviving but nothing seems to be updated, what actually happened?
I am sure the supposed link was planetcnc com, not planetcnc gamespy com. _________________ If you are a MetalHead (Heavy Metal Fan) and don't want to be a metalhead, Just remove your metal ball from your head. :p .

Planet C&C has been archived before the end of GameSpy. The webmaster there (Dario) has probably lost motivation to maintain it. With the end of GameSpy, their planetcnc com domain (which redirected to planetcnc gamespy com) has probably been dropped (not renewed). QUICK_EDIT
Another thing, what really happen to HeXetic?, he is a Doom III modder, he was last active since 2011 in Mod DB, he was well known in PlanetCnC too for making videos of classic c&c videos, and also parodies like the most useless c&c units, and a c&c renegade video taken by a camera phone, that video was too old, it was all since 2002, I can't contact with this guy, however i found one of his friends working in a video game company formed in 2010, called Blue Isle, the CEO is HeXetic's friend, and of course the CEO is still active in twitter, but no longer in mod db. _________________ If you are a MetalHead (Heavy Metal Fan) and don't want to be a metalhead, Just remove your metal ball from your head. :p .

That's a good question. I've lost contact with HeXetic for a couple of years already.
What, do he even know you? _________________ If you are a MetalHead (Heavy Metal Fan) and don't want to be a metalhead, Just remove your metal ball from your head. :p .

being in the C&C community for so long you always see people referencing stuff from more than a decade ago. i was into vintage stuff a while ago from the 70's and 80's and bought some crap from back then and it was a pretty terrible waste of money. i also bought some stuff from the 90's and early 2000's and that was yet again a waste of time. things age poorly mainly severely outdated technology, rotting components, etc. just because some stuff isnt that great these days there's still enough quality modern stuff to make the past irrelevant. a summit from 2006 about im guessing tiberium wars eew lol. nothing funnier than the last summit they had where they revealed the awful end of C&C was gonna be called tiberian twilight a name that everyone wanted SINCE TIBERIUM WARS to be the ending sequel to tiberian sun. what a sad summit to have been to. maybe the summits for red alert 2 and even renegade woulda been "ok" even tho renegade was a flop too with its horrible garbage engine.
i admire the original C&C reborn mod team for bailing and moving on as well as a lot of people like Lion from cncden. ive already got one foot out the door lol. QUICK_EDIT
You're a lucky man, if i had a Parallel Divergent Machine (Time Machine that doesn't time travel), i would travel back to 2004-2006 to attend. _________________ If you are a MetalHead (Heavy Metal Fan) and don't want to be a metalhead, Just remove your metal ball from your head. :p .
