is there any way to activate other textures in temperate?

Is there any way to activate new urban textures in a temperate map setting? can i kinda like enable something in the INI that will allow me to use new urban terrain in a temperate map? I wanna edit a map that was created as a temperate map using a few new urban terrains/textures in final alert 2.

Not only do you need to copy-paste some things from the urbann to temperat, but you'll also need to replicate the newurban terrain files and change their extensions to .tem. AND do it so that the correct palette gets used.

Nice idea. I'll have to do that for C&C S when I get the time.
I'll report back any findings.

Although, IIRC, TX does that, at least partially.

It's like when I added the inner corners of the paved shore from new urban to urban, and temperate too, I believe, for the custom TX you can get from the link.

But like I said, it'll take a while if you aren't familiar with how it works and/or how to do it.
And I completely forgot how.

You can convert a map to a different theater by opening it in a text editor & finding the [Map] section, there you can change the Theater= to a different type, in your case to NEWURBAN. When you open the map in FA2 it will then convert the map to the New Urban theater. Some parts of the map might have errors due to the change tho which will need to be manually fixed.

Doesn't fix the issue of not being able to use newurban terrain in temperate #Tongue

But yes, that's the easy way. Although the map then can't be used by RA2 at all.

Do watch out for the following:
-Dirt roads that don't go straight with simple 90° bends.
Anything else FA2 will mess up using MigEater's method?
