Trying to add a new mission objective into the game
I am relatively new to modding and am trying to learn to create my own mods soon. Anyways:
I inserted a string under mission section of ra2md.csf and the text did appear in final alert 2 yr text trigger section, but when i tried using it in game during the play it came up with a MISSING: soviet
Am i missing sonething or what am i doing wrong? QUICK_EDIT
what exactly is the parameter of that action? Seeing as you're getting a text, means your trigger is mostly setup correctly.
So two questions: a typo in the parameter? OR the CSF with the string you inserted is not read by the game (either through wrong naming or not in game directory)?
regarding the last one: unless your CSF is in the game folder rather than in MIX (unless it's langmd/language the CSF is in, then disregard this), the CSF in langmd/language will read instead.
If you're using Ares, the new CSF will be read by the game when in expandmd instead of the one in langmd.mix
