Hey there, I was having an issue.

I added voicelines to some new units, and while they appear to be working, they're far too quiet. I put the Volume on 100 in the sound.ini file, but it does not appear to help.

The sound in the actual files is more than loud enough.

Any ideas?

By the way, the audio files are 22050 Hz, 16bit & mono .wav files.

Open the sound files in audacity and use amplify to increase the volume.

Well yeah, but they're already loud enough. It just somehow gets decreased a shitton in-game. If I amplify it it will just get distorted.

Edit your sound.ini and adjust things like Range= and Volume= and maybe VShift=...

VShift only lowers volume (which he does not want) in all uses it has been for so nice guess... Rolling Eyes

Doesn't seem like they are... the game hasn't ever reduced the volume of a sound I've added if the ini Volume tag is at 100.

Something else must be wrong then, because my ears nearly bleed when I listen to my sounds on max volume when not in the game.

I'll try the range thing.

Yeah, some CNC3 sounds have done similar for me, no idea what causes it.
