Problems with BalloonHover workaround

I tried using LKO's BalloonHover workaround on a default Orca fighter (lowered its Speed to 2). However, afterwards, it was not able to attack targets. It would fly over, then just hover in place at the target. Am I missing something?

What is your weapon Range? Have you tried to increase it?

Currently, it's the default Orca Fighter weapon range. I did try adjusting it to both longer (Juggernaut) and shorter ranged (Orca Bomber) weapons, but it didn't help.

Does the projectile have ROT=1?

Don't remember if the Juggernaut or Orca Fighter weapons do, but I know the Orca Bomber weapon does. The tutorial said it worked with just a unit speed adjustment though for the first method

Not sure what I did exactly back then. Maybe I used a combination with SlowdownDistance or forgot that this key was still present.

yes, just tested, give it also SlowdownDistance=0 and it can shoot again.
