My TS crashes when I try to go online
The error says it tries to access address 00000000
I have no idea what's causing it. RA2 works perfectly online though...
I had the same error with C&C95 online, and apparently XP Home users didn't get it. It only appeared on XP Pro. Anyone know how to fix that? :\
Got TS 2.03, with FS installed. _________________ QUICK_EDIT

Download the XWISC tool, run it, and press Set.
Then close the tool.
Now you will connect to Olaf Van Der Spek's XWIS server instead of the official WOL server when playing Westwood games. It's loads faster than WOL, and thus you'll have a lot more chance of finding opponents there
(now with full C&C95 and RA1 support, but on IP 62.216.18.38 ) _________________ QUICK_EDIT

Fine to me. Can we just make games with password "rotd" or something? It's easier than making an additional nick. I'm just plain "Nyerguds" everywhere anyway.
(oh the advantages of a unique nickname ) _________________ QUICK_EDIT

Do note you apparently got a maximum of 4 different nicknames on XWIS
I don't know how it checks it, but apparently it does _________________ Last edited by Nyerguds on Thu Nov 04, 2004 11:35 pm; edited 3 times in total QUICK_EDIT

Well you could apply the crack to game.exe first, then manually change the text in the exe and save it as dawn.exe. I did that for the NoCD crack.
I posted a link to some good hex editor in the download thread.
Changed stuff:
SUN.INI -> DWN.INI
RULES.INI -> RULEZ.INI
AI.INI -> AJ.INI
ART.INI -> ARR.INI
EXPAND%02d.MIX -> ROTDXP%02d.MIX
PATCH.MIX ->ROTD2.MIX (Though I don't think this file is used )
I think that's all.
and in my exe, I also changed
SAV -> SRD
to separate the savegames
(it has to be the extension that's changes, since the savegame menu just displays *.SAV)
[EDIT]
Dammit terror... don't call it a crack when it's something that's just being loaded into memory
Just rename game.exe to something else, rename dawn.exe to game.exe and run that game.exe and it will all work. _________________ Last edited by Nyerguds on Mon Nov 08, 2004 5:20 pm; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT
