A) How do I get FinalSun to view ANY of the TSTW files? I tried renaming the mix files to expand02, etc, and nothing happened.

B) What ever happened to the 1.1 release? I'm guessing that's still held back witha  few complications? (Judging by your post at TibSun.)

C) Are you going to continue work on TSTW? I have some ideas that could be used.

D) There really does seem to be a fair bit of lack of balance in the mod. I've spent hours playing each side trying to get a good feel for them all, and it seems to me that CABAL has an extreme advantage with the CABAL Defender, but without it they're generally helpless to some degree or another (Assuming good AI/counter opponent).

The Mutants are really sranded when trying to attack a base, unless you bring out the meteor units, which are cheap in my opinion.

GDI's plasma defenses are incredibly strong compared to Mutant units, so they really can't get close at all. A plasma defense construct can knock out a visceroid in 1-2 hits, and hasnice splash damage.

Keep in mind, however, that I'm playing without Firestorm at the moment, which means I'm lacking some units/specials.

I think it's a good starting point to try to balance TS first, and then balance FS units.

Thanks.

1) Make sure TSTW is in your main TS dir.
2) Rename the expand and ecache files properly.
3) Rename the rules, art and ai ini files inside it to the apropriate names

- The DvD has made some attempts to upload it and all of them failed... the file was either corrupted in the end, or the download was interrupted. DvD must keep trying...

- The DvD will continue to work in TSTW.

- Core defender isn't enough to damage a level 2 AI. The DvD ballanced very well the land part... however, air units in TSTW are very strong... if you wanna beat the level 2 AI, use air.

Yea, mutants are weak... make sure you drop the tech level to have a fair play with them. Otherwise you won't survive.

- Where are the ecache files? I've opened tstwex02-06 and don't see them.

- tstw02.mix should simply be expand02.mix , and etc, right?

Edit: I think I found my problem. TSTWI.ini is the rules file, TSTWA.ini si the art file. That might fix it.

Eit 2: Yep, got it. Thanks.

The ecache files have another name and they are inside the tstwex02-06.mix files...

Anyway, you're welcome Smile.

B) I'll release it soon.. i know banshee, i've said this too many times lol. Anyway, it also has balance changes..

One note, there is absolutely no difference between a TSTW install without FS of one with FS.

Really? There are several units that I can't build, then. I've messed around in FS an glance at soem of the units. I know that I can't use/build the mutant temple, and the storm unit doesn't work, either. As well, there's Kane's some ship or another, and the spy plane. Are those to be released in TSTW 1.1?

No I disabled them they're basically crap.

BTW, installing FS is really just 2 things: it updates the game.exe to version 2 and drops the new image/map/sound etc files to the SUN dir.

As TSTW.exe is really a modified version 2.03 Game.exe, all i had to do to 'include FS' in TSTW was to add the new coding to rules.ini/art.ini and add the FS image files to my mixes.

DvD, I find the Cyborgs very unbalanced, in other words overpowering. A number of them can be very devastating to Gdi/Nod at start, so it doesn't help much if you build lots of disc throwers because they can easily get killed, and also you need a high tech level to have something resistant. The cyborg cost is pretty low considering they do more damage than the standard tanks. The RPG tower might be a good solution? Tell me what you think.
