As some of you may know... I'm making a mod called Tiberium Midnight... anyways.. here's the first part of the storyline.

Tiberium Midnight™
Dawn of a New Era

Storyline:
I made up this storyline completely, so if you dont like it, gimme ideas to fix it... but remember.. It's MY storyline.

Interview of Lt. General Nicolas "Pinpoint" Pena
January 9th, 2045; Nod Central Base in Cairo

It was about three in the morning and the sand around the usglowed an eerie blueish-white, almost like snow. The Construction yard was busy tonight; we were expanding the Base Perimeter by about 300 yards. Five of our new Advanced Heliports were being constructed, along with the Naval Research Facility. Commander Wolfe thought it would be a good idea, considering that if one were to go to the balcony of the Observation Tower, They could see down the Nile, right into the Mediterranian Sea. There were ships out there, mostly cargo & supplies for the civs. They were escorted by those GDI scumbags. They had developed a navy before we did. They didn't dare come close, though. We had Seige artillery standing by in case they tried to sneak up the Nile. And to detect any sneaky GDI scum, Mobile Sensor Arrays were deployed at the mouth of the river.... Under the cloak of a Mobile Stealth Generator. Will ya look at the irony of that! So far nothing has been attempted.

In fact, GDI seems to have been very quiet these last few months. Only one minor assault on an Antarctic outpost. We let them have it rather than lose men over it. We just packed up our men and supplies and left in Javelin Transports. C4 blast marks was all that was left of the base, except for some pieces of wall, but what the hell could they do with that?! It's not even compatable with thier (considerably weaker) walls.

Then I heard it. Distant, but still alarming. The shrill squeal of the GDI VTO&L Engines. There was another sound, a lower pitch..... then it hit me. "Oh God! BOMBERS!" I ran to the nearest SAM Site and hit the air raid alarms. I rapped on the door to see if anybody was inside operating it. Ensign Ashland was. She asked what was going on. I told her I had heard fighters and bombers. I couldnt hear them at that point over the Raid alarms. Apparently the people up in the Radar must have detected them too, as the Speaker Towers were blaring the same message over and over again; "Battlestations! Battlestations! Air Raid Warning! Man Your Stations! All SAMS standby for firing codecs."

I ran off to the nearest structure and went inside. Just to the left of the entrance, right where it should be in every structure, was a large rack holding a numerous array of weapons. I picked up a Fusion Rocket Launcher and a small side arm just in case. I was in the radar facility. I went over to the Battlefield Examination Table. I saw the Orca Wing moving on the laid out screen. The way this base was positioned, by the looks of it, they wouldn't see us untill they topped the ridges to the East. I had an idea, a brilliant one. I got on the Communications Line and broadcasted to the whole base. "Cut all lights. Shut down the War Factory and halt construction on the heliports and research facility. Activate the Stealth Genorator. SAM sites stand by for my orders to fire." I ran to the elevator and pressed for the ninth floor. Within seconds I was at the balcony. I looked out and sure enough the base lights were shutting down. All that left were the tiny lights on top of the SAM sites, and even then, soldiers were putting thier caps over them. I switched the Security Camera over to the Ops Room and zoomed in on the Operations Table. The Orcas were approaching the Eastern Ridge pretty fast.

I went back downstairs and out the door. There was an attack buggy parked outside the Radar Facility. I hopped in and started it up. God I love the sound of the engine revving on that baby. She had been tuned up pretty recently; the exhaust sounded just plain badass. I drove over to the East Entrance. There I met up with Ensign Ashland. She had a Rail Driver. "Where in the hell did you get that?!" I asked, shocked. "Got it from the prison cells. Some idiot got caught trying to sneak some C4 onto some power plants. Says his name is Ghost. Man, who would give himself such a korny name?" she said. "Sweet," I replied, "If I tell you, fire on the specific orca I point out for you." I went over to a guard and asked for his radio. He gave it to me. I took it and switched over to base-wide station. I said, "SAM sites stand by."

I took out my binoculars and looked out over the plains to the ridges. I scanned northward, then back to the ridge. There they were. Twelve bombers, eighteen fighters, eight transports, and three dropships. "Dear god, It's a full scale invasion!" Said Ensign Ashland after I had shown her the wing. I lifted my Fusion Rocket Launcher and set it on my shoulder. I flipped out the targeting screen. I targeted the farthest Dropship. I waited for the launcher to calibrate and adjust for wind and gravity. There was a little beep and the screen turned red. Locked. I pulled the trigger. The massive shell popped out as the recoil compensators reset. I watched the glowing ball rocketed through the air towards the dropship as I reloaded the Fusion.

I targeted the Nearest Dropship. Just as the Launcher locked on, the first shot collided with it's target. There was a massive explosion as the Dropship's fuel exploded, taking four fighters and three bombers with it. "Niiice shot!" exclaimed Ensign Ashland. "Thanks." I said as I fired on the lead Dropship. The second Dropship was struck with debris from one of the downed bombers. The large peice of metal tore off the right rear VTO&L engine. Unable to compensate for the weight, the huge ship went spiraling down towards the rocky desert. It ejected it's pod and stablized itself. The Pod hit the ground with an earthshaking smash. There was a large explosion as it's cargo detonated. My guess was it was loaded with Titans.

The lead dropship swerved to avoid my rocket, smashing into a transport. The sheer weight of the Dropship sent the Transport into a nearby cliff. My rocket went passed the Dropship and, while attempting to circle back around, smashed into a fighter. The resulting blast took two more transports, three bombers as well as a fighter with it. The Dropship was shaken, but not destroyed. It kept going. I set the rocket launcher to "Accurate" and "Maximum Blast". I once again targeted the Lead Dropship. I let the targeting system read the Dropship's signature. The screen again turned red. I fired. The recoil compensators clicked as the Fusion Shell was ejected. The Dropship again tried to swerve to avoid the rocket, but the programming in the rocket must have a mind of it's own, because it went the direction that the dropship swerved. It hit dead on. The resulting explosion turned night to day. The dropship exploded with such force that it totally decimated the last five transports, three bombers, and nine fighters. All that was left were three bombers and three fighters, two of which were so badly damaged that they crashed down onto the desert sands. Large plumes of dirt and dust were thrown into the air, but unfortunately neither of them exploded.

I put the launcher down, and grabbed my radio. "All SAMs, open fire!" I said loudly. Several nearby SAMs lit up as they fired on the remaining Orcas. I turned to Ensign Ashland. "Alright, Julz. Let's get back to the Hand for some much needed shut ass-.. I mean eye." I said as I tore my eyes away from her beautifully formed rear end.

More to come! I'm really tired tonight.. I'll finish it tommorow afternoon. I'll also be updating on Units and Structures here.

Thats a good story, but the only thing you need to do is have him take out less of the Fighters, Bombers, Transports, and Dropships, and leave more for the sams because its just stupid for one guy to take out that many ships.

It's not when you have THIS!

Fusion Rocket Launcher
(F-1TL Fusion Rocket Launcher)

What: Huge shoulder-mounted weapon that fires a single powerful shell capable of massive amounts of damage.
How: Single, tube launched
Where: Long Range
Use: Fires a single large shell and has a long reload time after each shot

A fusion rocket launcher is EXTREMELY devestating. The new Fusion Rocket infantry will have a build limit of three and cost in excess of $1000.

infantry will never have weapons that are more powerful than ones mounted on tanks. if i can have a unguided missile launcher for infantry then i can certainly have a similar but larger warhead on a guided missile mounted to a tank.

Light ATGMs used by modern infantry are more powerful than tank cannon.

Yeah, it is sort of wrong to think that a guy with a Rocket Launcher can do more damage than a tank with AT missiles mounted on it.

But, good read Wink
It is okay except for the one man takes out an entire GDI air-force. Someone does not really like GDI that much. #Tongue

Now see kids, that is why you always bring some ground based units in to distract the enemy. Preferrably fast-moving tanks. #Tongue

The road is nice but I don't think that loading bay really suits GDI, the pavement under it just would never be seen in a GDI base and if it was in a city / town it wouldn't really stand out so much for being a dropship load out zone, maybe a futuristic bus stop Smile

The terrain is nice, but the Landing Bay well, see Morpher's above post.

More for Tiberium Midnight

---------------------------------------------------------------------

February 22, 2046
23:39 PM
Global Defence Initiative Naval Base in New Dallas on the Texas Coastline

GDI Forces were losing ground all over the world. NOD had defeated one of the largest aeirial assaults ever launched by GDI during the Battle of Cairo. GDI had eventually taken it with an offshore barrage, but most of the base was lost in the assault. Little technology was recoverable. It was reported that a new ground weapon had been developed. Intell called it an "FT-1 Fusion Rocket Launcher". They said it was large, heavy, and only a very select few could be built. That was what had reportedly taken down a full wing of Orcas. After about 3 weeks, NOD retook the base with surprising efficiency. They did it in less than 18 hours. GDI suffered heavy losses that day.

Twelve GDI Capitol Ships, Six Carriers, Nineteen Cruisers, Fourteen Destroyers, Two Long Range Artillery Ships, and a number of support ships were sitting in the Harbour of New Dallas (called Houston in the ninteen hundreds). At the moment, they were stuck at port in a storm. But soon, they were going to launch a full scale invasion of the Island of Tyrados in the Gulf of Mexico. It was a large island fortress held by NOD. If captured, one could rule all of the Gulf and the Carribian Sea. It would take two days for the fleet to arrive. They were going to attack at nightfall. Thier new recon ships were stealthed against radar. The APC's didnt have enough fuel to make the full trip, so they were stored on board large container ships to be taken thirty miles off the coast of Tyrados. They would be dropped off thier and the container ships would return to port. Nod had devloped new Submarines to counter our Naval Assaults, but sattelite reports show that they are out in the Pacific. Tyrados had been left completely undefended. Commander Emily Scott was in command of the attacking fleet. She wanted to wait until morning to launch the assault. The base admiral, Lucas Sadiqi, agreed it would be best to wait out the storm.

February 23, 2046
08:00 AM
Global Defence Initative Naval Base in New Dallas on the Texas Coastline

The radio crackled.
"Sir," said Scott, "We are ready to launch the fleet. Sattelite Intel reports that all NOD Subs are in the Western Pacific preparing for an assault on the Tokyo Naval Base. They've been warned and are moving thier ships to the north, out of danger."
"Good. Launch the fleet." Replied Sadiqi.
"Yes sir!" said the excited commander. "First American GDI Fleet, all ahead full! Set course East-Southeast Bearing One-Two-Five."
"Good luck, Em." Said the Base Admiral.
"Thanks, Luke." said Commander Scott, reapprovingly, "I'll take out those bastards. Julia will not have died in vein. They will pay for the death of your wife. Commander Scott out -"

The First American GDI fleet was leaving port. The flagship of the fleet, the Athena, was the first out of port. With her flags raised high, and her gleaming tan armour, she was really a beautiful ship. Behind her came the NSS Angel, the fleet's largest carrier. On board that carrier, was the new secret weapon, the Orca Stingray. A new composite armour had been put on it, making it very fast, but still able to take a beating. It was loaded with one very old tactical nuclear warhead. It had been polished up, checked for radiation leaks, and a newer detonator had been put in. It was painted and covored in Titanium Armour. The outside read "In memory of Julz, a loving wife, and strong fighter." This was the one of the last few nuclear warheads in the GDI arsonal. It will be used well, thought Scott. As the last of the support ships left the New Dallas Naval Base, the huge steel reinforced concrete gates on the entrance began to close. Once closed, all that one could see were the large, imposing SAM towers, and Raptor Cannons. Only the tips of the huge 250mm artillery cannons could be seen. This truly was the pride of GDI. Commander Emily Scott and her fleet of 94 ships headed out into the sunrise.

February 25, 2046
02:40 AM
Brotherhood of NOD Fortess Island of Tyrados 600 kilometres south of Mobile, Alabama

It was Pitch black out while Scout Jonas Wolfe was out patrolling the northern coast of the Island. He walked along the edge of the forest on the sandy beach. He spotted some coconuts on the white sand near a sprawling palm tree about 20 metres away with his flashlight. He walked over and picked one up. He shook it. Yup, full of coconut juice, thought Wolfe. He pulled out his trusty blade and began to chip away at the shell. He sat there, chipping for about twenty minutes, when he heard it. It was sort of a rumbling sound, but it was kind of gurgling too, like one hears while gurgling salt water on a sore throat. He looked out to sea, but in the pitch black of the sea revealed nothing. If only the sky were clear, thought Wolfe. He continued to chip away at the shell of the coconut. The rumbling sound got louder. Wolfe was alarmed now. He stood up and raised his X-204 Pulse Rifle. Right as he aimed it out to sea, blinding lights of an Amphibious APC shined on him from less than 5 metres from the shoreline. Before he could even scream, three .50 Calibre heavy machine guns simultaniously tore him in half. The front loading door on two of the APC's fell to the ground, and out came thirty GDI infantry. One got a spotlight out of the APC and shone it out to sea and began flashing it. Two short, One long. He did it over and over again.

"That's it! That's our cue." said Scott to her first mate. She turned on her intercom. "All ships, open fire!"

On the Island, the flashes of the enormous 250mm artillery ships could be seen. About ten seconds later, the thumps of the heavy recoil started. Twelve more APC's had landed. Infantry were pouring out of them. Flares had been lighted in a 10 metre square for a makeshift landing pad on the beach. An Orca CarryAll was on it's way from the NSS Angel. It was flying low to the sea as to avoid friendly artillery fire, and to avoid SAM site radars. It was carrying some very important cargo. An MCV was in it's grasps. The pilot located the flares on his viewscreen, and brought her in. He landed the MCV with ease. Several infantry rushed in to unstrap the cargo from the aircraft. They were done in less than a minute. The Orca Carryall took off and sped back to the NSS Angel. The thumps of the Artillery ships could still be heard and the flashes of the explosions and fires in the NOD base could be seen over the treetops. It turned the sky over there a dull purple-orange. The flares were put out. It was near dark again. Green UV lights were equipped onto the front of the vehicles. The infantry clipped down their night vision goggles and the could see for miles. They could even look out to sea and see the ships. The occasional artillery flash blinded one for a couple of seconds, but the lens corrected itself. The MCV and APC's started towards the forest. They crushed trees in thier way, and left a wake of downed trees. behind them. Two Harpies flew overhead, but were unable to see the invasion force. The Harpies continued on towards the fleet. Little did they know, there were three Aegis Anti-Aircraft Cruisers out there.

The lead APC found a large clearing on a cliffside. Two hundred feet above them, on top of the cliff, was another APC. Leuitenant Catherine "Kat" Dye hopped down from the Top of the APC and spoke into her comm. "I can see the Noddies from here, ma'am. The base is in flames, there are soldiers running around everywhere. They are loading up in Palidin Transports. Down below me in the clearing is the MCV, ready to deploy."
"You know your orders." Said Scott, on the other end of the line.
"Yes ma'am," said the Leuitenant, "Kat out -" She switched her comm over to channel 14. "MCV, this is Kat. Deploy!"

"Deploying now." Said an unknown voice. Several Light posts were raised from the APC's as the MCV tracks folded in. The crane arm slid out from the side of the MCV while the roof supports unfolded from the top. On the opposite side, the production machinery folded onto the floor, as the walls folded out and onto the ground. The Crane shifted 90 degrees inward and the roof supports locked in place. The place was flooded with light. Within minutes, a Mobile War Factory had arrived via CarryAll.

Within the hour, two heliports were finished, and twelve Mammoth Tanks stood around the clearing. They were preparing to head towards the NOD base to mop up. The Palidin Transports were taking off from the base, and the Aegis Cruisers were there to meet them. As the two transports took off, several artillery shells hit the landing port. Steel and concrete exploded into a massive fireball. The Transports continued to rise higher when the squeal of anti-aircraft missiles wreaked through the air from the Aegis Cruisers. Several flashes lit up the sky, and one of the Palidins went spiraling towards the sea.

"Hah! Sucks to be NOD right now." said Kat.
The other transport was just about to be out of range of the Aegis Cruisers when it violently collided win an Orca Bomber sent in to mop up any base defences and clear the way for the GDI Mammoth Tanks. The explosion tore the Palidin transport to peices. The Orca Bomber, now torn in half, rocketed toward the beach. The tail end smashed into the beach, throwing dust and sand into the air, allowing the light from the massive fires of the NOD base to reflect off of it. This illusion made it look bigger than it really was. The front end of the bomber splashed into the sea just off the coast. The waters were shallow, and parts of it stuck up above the water, burning of fuel from the Palidin. Unsuspecting, the Mammoth Tanks burst throuth the treeline. As soon as they raised thier barrels to fire into the heart of the NOD base, an Obelisk of Light exploded in a flash of red light in front of them. Several more explosions flamed up near the tanks. Apparently, one was hit, as it's turret was blown off with a large amount of force and burst into flames. Land Mines. One of the artillery shells must have hit nearby, and the concussion set them off. The rest of the Tanks blew down the already damaged Steel Gate of the NOD base. The rolled in and began to raise mass chaos among the remaining bits of the base. Several Power Plants, a Tech Centre, and a Construction Yard seemed to have been left behind. They were damaged yes, but recoverable. Kat called off the artillery, and the explosions soon ceased. She got into a jeep and drove out of the APC. Kat drove over to the Docks. YES! She thought. Two NOD subarines. The loading dock was in flames. The Noddies didnt have time to load in when they were ambushed. The control tower above the steel gates in the water was in flaming ruins. Even if the loading docks werent hit, they were trapped in their own port, unable to get out because the gates couldn't be opened.

Two hours later, The gates were forced open, the fires on the docks put out, and the GDI ships were anchored in the port. The technology in the Tech Centre revealed much about the NOD Bases expansion plans. There were full plans for a missile silo that was already under construction. Plans for a new quad-barreled heavy tank, the Hellfire, were located. Also plans for a Temple of NOD, Tiberium Waste Facility, and Advanced Tiberium Power generators were to be found in the Technology Centre. The Construction Yard had preset plans for all the basic structures. GDI now had a dual operations base. They had fully conquered Tyrados. Several reports came in on the Global Command Channel.

Quote:
This is Commander Steven Davidson. The NOD base in Edinburgh has been decimated. Our aircraft suffered heavy losses, but our tanks and mechs eventally overtook them. Davidson out -

Quote:
This is Leuitenant Commander Yakuma Miyazaki. Nod Subs have attempted to attack the Tokyo base, but failed. Two got away, the rest were sank by Rapter Anti-ship cannons. Miyazaki out -

GDI was finally taking turning the tides of war.

Question: Why would NOD use Subs when they have Subterra technology?

Also, NOD bases would be heavily protected. It would take years to weed out one base, whereas they shouldn't be destroyed in one attack. Also note that the NOD there would be fanatical and fight to the death, limbs or no limbs.

And I find it unfair that GDI took all the technologies, I mean what has NOD got on now? They're gonna be mopped up. The technologies would be sent underground to a next base in all circumstances. It's like "GDI finds new tank plans from NOD that gives them new mechs!"... total crap is what I say.. sorry. Tiberium Waste Facility + Missle Silo.. hmm GDI Chemical Missle= not good Sad Temple of NOD has all the secrets of NOD and now GDI has them it's going to be broadcasted to every single base in the world. NOD doesn't stand a chance...

If you make NOD have a comeback by taking stuff thats from GDI, then maybe I'll like the story. You should have let NOD decimate Tokyo for what they did to Edinburgh (and stick a badass fortress up there at the same time, you take my base I'll take yours).

And by the way, how on Earth could GDI muster 12 Mammoth Mk 2? Costs a bomb to build a single one let alone 12. If so I would like 12 Cyborg Commandos please Smile

Oh yes.. I wouldn't eat the coconuts also.. you know what with Tiberium taking over the whole planet and all.

GDI has the plans yes... but they dont have the materials to build it.

And they have Subs because it's a Naval Base on an Island. Where would Subterranian APC's come in handy there? They wouldn't have enough fuel to make it to the mainland. That's why they have Subs and Palidin Transports rather than Subterrainian units.

Also, They used Mammoth Tanks, Not Mammoth MKII's

Dude I'd rather watch the credits to lord of the rings 10 times then try to read the latest piece you have wrote. So few paragraphs, its like all squished into one  #Tongue with the odd few gaps. Anyway, there is one thing about this story, well the one above really that interests me, I'm sure you will probably gather what it is ( queitly ).

Ahh... ok

When you said "Mammoth Tanks stood" I thought you meant Mammoth Tanks stood up as in legs #Tongue

With your permission, I'd like to help out with the storyline. I've come up with a lot of... err... fan-fiction over the past few years, especially since I never actually made a complete mod.

These stories are horrible, they make no sense, they are boring, unpersonal and you try and write a story way too fast, the events that happen should take about as long tounfold as it does to read the story, you attempt things on much too grand a scale, your characters are flat and may as well be called John everysoldier. you use NO adjectives so the scenery is flat and boring.

its like a chuck norris movie.
