I know he came from the Nod side, but don't you think they are a bit similar to the Nod buildings? Don't get me wrong, i really like how they look, but i just think that CABAL would have a different look to Nod

My mod my choice. Wink

A lack of Nod also means there isn't likely a style conflict. Plus since Nod style is Kane style and Cabal is basically kane his style would be quite similar in my mind.

Couldn't agree with you more Smile

I think that Lazer looks like a jack-in mechanism from the Matrix Laughing But I would go for the Obelisk of Darkness/Light style (but assuming this is just the baby turret then maybe it doesn't need the style).

Indeed it is the 'baby turret'. The Obelisk of Light style will remain for Cabal's Obelisk.

Great stuff. I love the skeletal structure concept. Not to mention that obelisk, is looking pretty kinky too. I just imagine it obliterating the degernates of humanity into a blistering pile of flesh.

I should have noted the claw is incomplete. I plan for it to still look somewhat skeletal though. It should also be kept in mind these are concept models and may change. I personally like the claw but I can change it and maybe use the model elsewhere if the majority does not.

I think there ok as models

But as buildings they are poor
The turret is quite clumsy and inpractical looking

The design of the claw is awful, tottaly inpractical as a building
And just a question, would (CABAL) cyborgs really give a damn about fancy looking buildings
If you take away the useless claw pieces i cant actually see anything that could be considered a building, unless you make it simply a decorated door to an underground building....

Like i said, nicely made. I think you just need to think about the design of the things you are modeling more carefully. Wink

Cabal possibly not, Kane yes. The temple of Nod Being a prime example and in my mind they are one entity - at least for the purpose of my own project. So for this matter Cabal would indeed have fancy buildings.

The claw is very much an underground structure and is designed to look more intimidating than anything else. If you think that is not what Cabal would go for I base my decision on the Cyborg Reaper. That unit doesn't need to resmeble a giant demonic spider but it does. The element of fear is a characteristic I would apply to Cabal to go with his idea that Human beings are weak pitiful creatures.

The Laser doesn't look strong and sturdy but I never intended it to. It was designed as a very low level defence playing roughly the same role as the pillbox in Red Alert One. A very much low level defence which has little to no chance against anything but infantry.
