About LAN and online games with RA1 and TD, on TFD.
APOC has recently posted a discrete tip in the EA Command & Conquer forums regarding the problem with LAN and online games in C&C 95 and Red Alert 1 that comes in The First Decade package.
For those inquiring about online/LAN playability for the original C& C and Red Alert 1 in C&C The First Decade, XWIS has posted a solution to help enable this. Click this link:
Huge thank you to Scorpio and XWIS for aligning on this tutorial.

Considering that the link above will change its contents, since it's the Strike Team's news and announcements, here's the direct links of the tutorials:
Note that the tutorials doesn't mention the LAN game in RA1, but the process is very similar to the C&C95 one, so follow the C&C 95 tutorial, except for the part that launchs the game .
Let's hope EA replaces their thipx32.dll file in the next patch to make this process more automatic. Note that these tutorials are not news and we already explained them several times in our news before, although these ones are more detailed, easier to follow and newbie friendly. Kudos for the good people from Strike Team. QUICK_EDIT
Somehow all of this doesn't surprise me: the fact it took so long; the fact Strike Team gets pointed out over here, PlanetCNC, or the other forums and news sites that have carried fixes for this --and earlier versions for years; the fact that we've gone so long on the official C&C forums without an announcement-- hell, there's 0 announcements in the announcements section!; the fact there is still no *official* solution, instead a disclaimered third-party source; the fact the link was just to the main page of the XWIS site; and of course, the disaster that is The First Decade. _________________

QUICK_EDIT

Lenin was onto something when he said 'Death to the Capitalists'...
I fully support Socialism. Capitalism strives to screw over the poor man... _________________ PPM's Reichstrollfuherer, 236th Trollenparties brigade. QUICK_EDIT
