Can't get online with YR
When I try to play an internet game in YR, I get an error saying "Your Westwood Shared Internet Components are too old. Update by re-installing the components from your Yuri's Revenge CD-ROM." I've done this, and I have YR patched to 1.001, but it gives me the same crap! What's going on? Should I re-install YR? I don't wanna do that! (BTW, it's a squeaky-clean install of YR, no mods, no new maps, no nuthin'.) _________________

Your shared internet files are out of date. You didn't install TS first, then YR second but forget to install Westwood Shared Internet files did you? Try re-installing the game (but not deleting all your files!!) but selecting only the files (it will skip the whole installation while doing the files, although you may need your CD Key). Also by installing TS, you can overlap your old files making it troublesome so be sure that if you have any YR on your compy and want to install TS make sure to turn the option off. _________________ QUICK_EDIT

OK, re-installation won't be a problem, 'cuz I have the key, but it's just so troublesome! I might have re-installed TS somewhere along the line, but I don't think I over-wrote the WWSICs... I might have...

It appears to have worked. I feel kind of stupid now. I just needed suggestions. Anyone want to play online with/against me now? I'll be playing under the name PPMSML, since Sir Modsalot can't fit, I need initials of some sort. How about it? Anyone? _________________

I found the following works:
Locate your "westwood\internet" folder.
Locate you "Wolapi" folder on your YR disc.
Replace contents of "internet" with "wolapi" saves having to enter CD Keys and what have you. QUICK_EDIT

Carnivean, I already tried that. It didn't work, but re-installing worked. I'm now having connection errors online, however. I keep getting the message "Reconnection error!", then it kicks me outta the game! Then I try to re-join, and right when I start, I get a kick-vote menu that says "Waiting for other players to get on", and everyone's status bars but mine decreases to nothing, and I get the error "Connection with other system lost" or something very similar. Then I look at the chat part of the menu, and the other players are complaining about me being too slow (it's because of this damn 4200RPM ATA-33 HD, probably even slower than that). What's happening? _________________

Reconn error to those that dont mod online is taken as a money cheat thats where the complaining begins, but if u still have files in your game that u added they will cuase this , an i think RP causes this also.
If u dont connect then its pretty much someone's firewall is set to high or not responding to ur's, i get this atleast once per night an i have been playin online for 4 years wol-xwis
reconn error happens to me alot also..Dont try to install another yuri on a second hard drive it will cancel out the first u will explode when u deploy your MCV on your modifed yuri. the second will run ok tho QUICK_EDIT
