Make it do the Slave Miner, it lands near Ore, becomes a mobile factory (releases mini units to mine the ore). Have them hover too so that when the aircraft is moving it doesn't act stupid and get stuck next to the water. _________________
hello, once again i am new, but dont worry i do kno how this modding stuff works... kind of, but i know enough, i think.
i'm just roaming through the forum and came across this topic (stating out the obvious) and i have an idea about this heli-miner thing and the idea is;
why not raise the value of the ore. so it's the same as grabbing a full miner's load of ore or gems (depends if you love loads of money/credits/whatever). Then set the heli-miner to pick up one at a time so all it'll do is, go out, grab a load on one tile/square, then go back drop off the load, then start it all over again.

Each 'chunk' of ore is worth the same amount, regardless of what miner picked it up. So this heliminer picking up one expensive 'chunk' would still suck when compared to the original miners which pick up 20 or 40 same-value 'chunks' per trip. QUICK_EDIT
well it wass just an idea for the heli-miner and i just wanted ur views.
but i think this idea would save the heli-miner goin' up 'n' down on different 'chunks', and by lookin' here, to me, i think the slave thing is not goin' to work... then again i could be wrong. _________________ Geoff (Geoff17391)
What if we make the ore refinnery give 1000 percent more value to the ore or give the side with the miner 700% more ore value?That would be fair. QUICK_EDIT

also, a heli slave miner probably won't work. Changing the slave miner's locomotor seems to prevent it from deploying by itself, you have to manually tell it to deploy. It works fine when it's a regular heliminer, I've tried it before. QUICK_EDIT

Control+F opens Search.
Type in SHAD then Enter.
