You people are all idiots and are obviously not worth talking to. i have come to this conclusion because you like the new battle star galactica at all. the old one is clearly superior in every way bar special effects.

lets look at those points shall we? it has better:

Acting
Plot
Characters
Robot designs
costumes
dialogue
everything

the only thing that makes it even seem like battlestar galactica is the fact there are people who are goingsomewhere or something and there are robots after them.

Sure the old one is good, but in that time it was the best thing since sliced bread. Without it, the new one wouldn't exist. But at the same time it's trying to be Star Wars in an effort to compete with it, in which it's not.

The new Battlestar is more better becuase of the whole paranoia and depression of it. This clearly goes on for days and days haunting the crew, and still the Cylons want to tear them limb from limb, as well as the threats of them already infiltrating the fleet using Human programmed clones, meaning anyone could be a Cylon. It also has a much more military feel and a bigger atmosphere thats going on in the entire fleet.

Also the graphics and CGI are superior.

The Cylons actually look like something to be FEARED now. The plot sticks to the original (and improves it), there are characters that actually are focused on all the time in the episodes, I could go on.

I think the new one is supior in the fact that anything computer controlled has improved it does have more of a military feel at the moment ( in some episodes of the old one you got a rituelistic religues fell in them) there is also a considerable amount of fear in the new one as were the old one was more happy go lucky

I love it! Mainly the depth of the characters, the twist's and turns in the plot, and I like how it's a continuation from the old one. The CGI is soo much better and I like how the cylons look.. Dont get me wrong, the Original is kick ass! but this one is just so.. good. (I like the music that Richard Gibbs did, and how he didn't Mutilate Stu's original music, but rather made his own.)

Just got finished with the season 2 dvd..

going to order the season one dvd since they didnt have it in the base exchange over here in iraq...bummerville..

aw well season 2 was easy enought to follow without the back plot Wink

you people are philastines brought up on CGI and high budget special effects, you obviously have no idea what makes Science fiction good. i remember the days when, if you wanted someone to be grabbed by a tentacle you wrapped the tentacle around them and then unwound it then played the footage backwards (ala the horror of fang rock). bah, you dont know you're born.

i like the old one better its not so serious all the time ...i mean in the new battlestar gallactica how many times have you seen someone laugh ?..
grace parker is the only one i like in the new battlestar gallactica. Very Happy
