Which waypoint system do You think is supiorer?
TS/FS's or RA2/YS's

I chose TS/FS because

1. ALL units can use it
2. You can mark where hidden structures are
3. You can Set up Patrols with out Using a map editor
4. You can set up waves instead of an all out Onsuloght which adds Psychologicle warfare to the mix
5. The waves are better cordinated

EDIT: When You vote Please Post and say which one You voted for and explain why

I prefer RA2s as it is quicker and easier to use and to organise a multiple-pronged attack. You also didn;t need them to mark stealthed structures, so that didn't matter. They are like the TA waypoints - which are the best Smile
there's no reall need to set up patrols tbh...
oh, and it's prolly better to send all your units at once instead of a nice, and easy to destroy, steady stream. You are more likely to do damage if you send them all at once too.

It didn't make sense that you can't use them with aircraft - as waypoints were first designed for them - weren't they?

TS. It's better cause you can see it without clicking the units, and is simpler than the RA2 version.

If i remember correctly you simply held the shift key and told your unit(s) to move to multiple locations

IMO RA2's is a more refined version of TS's clunky waypoint system. TS's waypoint system is generally pretty useless and akwared (as well as ugly looking, with little colourful markers and lines all over the screen)

The only thing i use waypoints for in TS, is in mplay when im marking cloaked structures when they get revealed.....

Yeah it does. Hold down the shift key while giving orders. Pretty neat if you want to build a lot of Solar Collectors or if you're collecting metal or something.

Of course, I just stated what I find it specifically handy for, namely building or collecting things #Tongue.

TS/FS, because it's the same as RA2/YR's except you can use it on aircraft and can order units to patrol.

You can order patrols in RA2/YR and it's NOT the same.

RA2/YRs.

TSs was hard for me to use... They did little good than being "beacons" for stealth objects.

RA2YRs are very easy to use, and were not at all distracting.

Sorta like how in RA2 beacons can be used to point out artificial forests.

I have yet to find out how to loop the patrols for TS/FS.. so I chose RA2.. however.. that may be just because i'm a retard. Neutral

after placeing to differents points at leats hold down the shift key and while in waypoint mode left click on waypoint 0 and voala instant looping patrol route. If you want better clarification check the manuel.

To order a patrol on that looping waypoint path selct the unit(s) you want to be patroling and hold ctrl+alt and left click on the waypoint where you want the unit to start patroling

the Q key, actually. And with the added (documented in 3.03) bug/feature that all units in the group moved at the speed of the fastest one Very Happy
