A Nod Mech? I Okay, it looks kinda cool.. but.. GDI should have the mechs, surely?
And yeah, the GDI troop.. really doesn't look GDI. Well.. the helmet at least.
And why do the Nod troops have blue lit helmets? I love blue, but Nod = Red.
I have to say I do like the Orca Concepts. They look good.
My comment though to EA and their concept artists, on the concept art involving pretty much all else is..
Please.. don't just go for what you've seen in other games. Look at the concept art from TD and TS. We have enough of it. That alone shows the incredible atmosphere Tiberian Sun had.
Also, by seeing how the two games evolved, how GDI and Nod grew more advanced, how they evolved their battle tactics and strategies.
The designers should take the time to play Tiberian Dawn and Tiberian Sun. They didn't work on the games, so the next best thing they can do is play them, and read them. A sequel to a game(s), which isn't really connected to the original(s) is no sequel. Its simple enough. _________________ If there is a problem on the forums, PM me. QUICK_EDIT
Can anyone give me a higher scan of that page? I could translate for you the information there...thank you. And also, if there are OTHER pages too about C&C3, scan them too, please! I'd be grateful to anyone who does this!
I think this is the PC Gameplay magazine, there's also another one, PC Games (which contains that artwork i found on EA's forums and posted here), i would like scans from that one too. They'd come greatly in help. I'd be thankful, alot! And PC Gamer, i'm gonna get it wednesday, when it comes out. QUICK_EDIT
Dudes I can settle this. This following qoute is from wikipedia.com
Quote:
Tiberium Crystals
The first type of Tiberium lifeform ever found on earth, around the Tiber (from which it receives its name). Tiberium Crystal plants dig deep into the earth with their roots and extract valuable minerals and forming some unknown substances in the process.
There are two kinds of Tiberium crystals, green and blue crystals. The green crystals are the plain type, being the main source of income for GDI and NOD. When a small patch of green crystals is left alone, it will slowly grow to a bigger field. When a Tiberium Spore tree is in the area, Tiberium will grow more rapidly there.
The second kind of Tiberium, the blue crystals, grow slower, but are a lot more valuable. This is because it has a higher percentage of more exotic minerals. Because of the different composition of this Tiberium crystal, it is inherently very explosive, and when a crystal ignites, it usually takes the whole field of blue crystals with it. Entire squads of infantry have been known to have vanished while traversing a blue Tiberium field, leaving merely a few scorched bones left.

It's a plant see.
1st of all, no double post, 2nd of all, Tiberium SEEMS like a plant because the first thing it absorbed WAS a plant. In fact, it's a bacteria/microbe/micro-organism that absorbs the particles of other things, incorporating the absorbed object within the micro-organism's DNA. Tiberium also accelerates growth processes. So be sure that it'll accelerate a plant growing if it absorbs it, since the cells composing the Micro-organism work faster than human cells, thus the reason why Tiberium expands rapidly. So when it absorbed a plant, it also absorbed it's reproduction process, and also absorbed the mineral salts contained in the ground. When the cells merged with the substance and water, it created crystals. Just like normal crystals were created, except Tiberium was the substance used to grow the crystalline rock. A plant couldn't possibly absorb something and incorporate it into its DNA. A plant needs to feed. Whereas the micro-organisms feed on anything, the chemical substances and particles that it dosen't devour are absorbed and it grows and transforms into...things. Think of the evolution of mankind. Everything started from micro-organisms, who ADAPTED, absorbed DNA, grew bigger, and EVOLVED. Tiberium IS THE ALIEN in C&C. The Scrin EVOLVED from it. Just like we evolved from those little microbes that lived in the water. Think about it, each evolution is after million of years:
Micro-organisms > Plankton > Fishes > Lizards > the first haired Bipedes > Monkeys > Gorillas > Homo Sapiens
Of course there are a lot of species missing in between, but that would take a page to put them all. Some species stopped evolving, or evolved differently too.
Tiberium goes like this a bit:
Micro-Organisms > jelly filled with micro organisms > Plant that grows crystals > Little animals > Jelly Fish, Viceroids > Small Bipedes
And another example:
Micro-Organisms > jelly filled with micro organisms > Plant that grows crystals > Plant with mouth
But Tiberium can infect another DNA, turning it into a Tiberium version of it.
Did anyone see that Metroid evolution image from the metroid database website? It has a metroid (a small jelly creature with horns) that at the end evolves into it's "Adult" form, which is a big 6 eyed dinosaur. That explains evolution. Thus, Tiberium is a micro-organism, but ALSO a plant, and a humanoid being. Just as much as an animal. But at first, Tiberium is the Micro-organism. What is the plant, is the brown thing under the crystals. The crystals are like the fruit of the plant. Did i clear up anything? QUICK_EDIT
Actually I'd imagine it'd be more like 'Phazon' from the Metroid series than the Metroids themselves. A mutagenic agent forcing rapid evolutionary changes but also causing death and perhaps madness for those exposed to it.
Especially if you read through this you should see a number of similarities. QUICK_EDIT
Apparently, announced by Gamesradar, PCgamer's owners, C&C3 will come out EARLY 2007. Meaning in the first 4 or 5 months of the year...that's GREAT news! QUICK_EDIT
