Yes, I have been working on it, but most of it is Yurisarmy, blame him!

J/k, but to the point.
Since I posted the starting of this mod, I have made little progress myself into the mod, but Yurisarmy, has been having a party designing aircraft for the mod...

So in the soon time(hopefully) I will have some images of the units and their cameos.

I have been working on a M4 Sherman, the US/UN Medium Tank of the 50's.
A while back, I made a T-34. These tanks will be clashing head-on, and boy, will there be some battles... The expect losses to T-34s for a Sherman Commander would be severe... For every T-34, maybe 2 to 4 Shermans.

Yurisarmy:
F-4
Spectre Gunship(80s airstrike)
Mig-15
B-52(50s through 80s airstrike)

Don't forget some cameos I made a while back. And yeah I had a party making those. #Tongue

Some of those cameos are pretty good, I don't like the machinegun cameo though.

I know, the cameo did not come out well. But, the newer version, in a darker green and brown came out excellent.

Nice tank dood. It may be too bright when it's in the screenie but I still want to see a screenie.

Okies, the first ever ingames of the T-34 and Sherman!

T-34: Also known as the best tank of WWII.

M4: Also known as the "Ronson" and Sherman. Famous for lighting up on the first hit.

That.. Sherman.. needs.. MAJOR.. normals.. work..

As for the color, I'd suggest you try DARK soviet..

T34 ain't bad but the color kinda sucks..

50's coldwar...*shudders* 60s/70s seems more interesting, IMHO. SSBNs, U2s, Bombers...all that good shit.

Well, Tiberium Harvester, there will be 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's Cold War.

Kyler Adams: These are the first pics of the tanks ingame... Actually, the Sherman Tanks are pretty good, except for the fact they use that ugly green. I think your suggestion of dark soviet is good. I will definitely try that out.

T-34 is a little bland atm, but I plan to add a little more texture to it.
-Remember that due to RA2 unit limits, not all the units of the cold war can be added to the game.

Besides the VERY shitty normals and ugly green.. yes.

If you want, I could try & fix the normals..

Kyler, have you ever tried to make a voxel using those greens? Normals are to due to come out bad.

The normals on the turret and the tank itself look good, but the limited number of colors that can be displayed with that scheme make it look quite bad. Well, I will be changing it to a more appealing dark soviet scheme.

Also, I have a idea about the "very shitty normals" as you call them, it may deal with the fact I am using only one layer of voxels for the sloping sides. It is just a guess though.

They may not be top quality on the first try, but that's what getting the first screenies is about. I think it can be easily improved.

Two questions:

1. What version of VXLSEIII are you using?

The latest?

2. Are there any holes in the body?

No holes in the voxel, I checked. Hmm... I have been watching Magic Users Club all day, so I did not get around to double layering the sherman chassis.
Oh well.

I am using the newest VXLSE.

I guess I missed the new sherman when I posted in the last time. The old one, green in game, wasn't nice. This new one seems to have good normals.

for the t34 try to put a loger barrel and make the turret more bigger becasue it was 85 mm used and put some colour on it like olive green and some white stripes on the turret but no red was on those tanks if no green then try some desert colour

Well the red is remap, but I was just using that for unit ID in these pre-private alpha tests of the voxels. What could be used as remap then?
The other details, I will definitely look at them.

Remap is the color on units that switches to your team's color.

ou yes ja! known to me as side c, c for colour, so if you are meaning for remaping a colour, could be good if there was no remaping just whole tank paint for each side if its not a lot of work, an example it'd be, the arab comenwealth used a desert plain colour for the greman t34-praga and the t34-85 volga along with some stugs. korean that golive green soviet had and vietnamese used the same i guess since there wasnt so much tank-tank fight, they said is 2 where given to the nva but i just seen the vietcong use some renault ft light oooold tank from ww1. but some colour pics from the chzec i guess it was an old rusty green to grey so i just give you only two so you dont kill yourself. make 3. one olive green new with white stripes, ill then if you want pics to see so you copy. the 2 one an old more dead colour olive green, and the last one just brown to desert something like that.
i think is the best is to have no remap because american tanks where always green or brown and they didnt paint it just had numbers. and its likely you never see the same side tanks fighting only in some cases the crew scaped.

That'd be a cool idea actually. The only downside is the obvious one: in multiplayer where you have multiple of the same team, and your tanks look exactly like the enemy's. Until they start attacking each other, that is...

Well, remap is an essential to the gameplay and graphics of the mod. Perfect realism is an unattainable goal. Remap is needed to distinguish between teams, and an essential. It will be included on vehicles.

well then we change the signals the crew painted on the tanks for the planes not to bomb them like a black symbol in the m1a1 and the great white stripes in the t34 at berlina

yea isnt it. it doesnt modify the voxel at all and with new ambient more realistic war like scenarios could be recreated easily. i know sounds like a dream but if we put effort on this one

What I was saying is that the indicators, like the
V on tanks and the indication symbols for units can be used for remap. Remap will be used.

This is the progress meter for the mod.
2 buttons, signifying Alpha or Beta, which will be depressed when the respective version is released.

Altimeter tells current version.

Ok since this is stickied for a reason I'm gonna use it again.

I've gone over my voxels with the latest version of the Voxel Editor and it looks like a majority of my works will be updated, most notably the F-15 Eagle. Screenshot will come tomorrow, as the model I have needs more detail(completely remade the one I had).

Right now there will be massive unit additions. I don't have any new screenshots as of yet, but here is the new F-15 work in progress.

Compared to this one I think the basic model's already an improvement... Smile
