The third side is Scrin (although name isn't confirmed).

With E³ happening, many news about C&C 3 are emerging on these big sites. Here's a community news covering some of them:

-> IGN Interviews Mike Verdu: The guys from IGN have interviewed the executive producer of C&C 3. Mike Verdu tells many interesting things, specially the return of the sidebar, with improvements and their focus in a single player experience with a great story. Here's a snippet:

He accidentally confirms that the third side is really an alien specie (thanks Tratos for this interesting conclusion). Here's the snippet:

So, that Scrin Primal that we've seen in 2004 is still a good candidate to be featured in the game. Watch out for more information about this new Starcr... I mean, Command & Conquer!
-> Swedish Magazine with I don't know: Tesla7zap posted a translation of the magazine he received with some C&C 3 information. You can check it completely at the slow horde or at the fast PPM forums.
-> CnC World: Cabal makes his return over there and he'll be bringing all news from the front. Check it out for upcomming features!
-> CnC Depot: Some egyptian hackers decided to shut up the site from the danish webmaster, but they've missed the target: the webmaster is irish. Unfortunatelly, CnC Depot is not returning in a while. The sites who were hosted under it are also down due to this event, like AllianceHQ. CnC Depot is hosted in our server.

Me too...I can't wait to see Nod! And i'm a bit dissapointed that the new side is the Aliens...I WISHED it would be CABAL...What happened to him? He was still alive in the FS ending, as you could see! And both the Nod and GDI storylines happen at the same time, but both happen, not just GDI. WTH is going on about CABAL? But, at least we finally get to see the Aliens...i kind of knew they were gonna be mobile, like the Earth 2160 Aliens...It was already TOO logic when they mentionned mobile bases. CABAL defected from nod, thus, he would STILL use a Nod-like army. This dosen't stop anyone though from modding the game and making a CABAL army, which makes it still good. And it will be easier, since the code for a new side is already there, left-off from BFME2 (it had 6 races if i remember correctly, what fun would it be to play a C&C3 with 6 factions...*drools* ) Long live the Aliens! They have to use the name scrin because they set that precident in the TS campaigns with that ship you have to salvage and protect

I believe those are the only three units EA has finished. But at least this proves that those are the new GDI light infantry. Can you imagine how much those suits chafe? I know way off topic, but its just something that been on my mind. QUICK_EDIT

What are you talking about? EA has finished many units, they're just not showing them. Remember, this game has been in development for several months
And those soldiers in the big armor aren't the basic infantry. One of the screenshots shows the basic infantry running alongside a mammoth tank. _________________ Destroy to create. All for the hunt to dominate!

I finally watched that damn trailer. My opinion is not very good. Just something quick and flashing. Mammoth made me angry. As it says " dual 150mm cannons and dual missile pods" when actually missiles will be an upgrade (and it is unknown, how it will be, upgrade once-for-all or install it to every tank manually).
And, of course, all GDI units even don't know that they now have new logo. On all units - Mammoths, Orcas and etc. we see this crap:
they promise that they will improve pathfinding. Generals should run extremely fast on my PC, but thanks to damn pathfinding it terribly lags on large maps with complicated landscape... QUICK_EDIT

I watched the trailer, I thought it was kinda funny hearing the grunts, as they mooshed through the desert choking up on some mammoth dust. The music was very reminscent of the WS loading vid, and of course TS, if not the same. One can only wonder....Why did they bomb that little island full of rubble.....was yuri's psycho*%$..I mean

You know half of TS' GDI units still bore the TD logo even in the final films? This logo is not DEFINATE. Stop complaining about it. And why not use the real USSR's insigna?
