It happens few times, but when a hostee tries to inovate too much using scripts (s)he doesn't know well, it can get the whole server into trouble. Here's what Mastermind has said about it:

This was caused by some poorly written code on a hosted site triggering a rather bizarre combination of problems leading to Apache rebooting every 10 minutes or so. The issues have been resolved, and things should now be much more stable."

Note that he didn't name the hostee to avoid any kind of trouble. So, sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused and let the fun continue.
