The Open Map Competition 3 Tiberian Sun Map Pack is now available. I've been working hard to finish all OMC related tasks. I still have a lot to do. Four winners still need to be contacted (sorry, I'm kinda lazy with emails, it will probably be faster if the winner contact me Embarassed), I still need to release the RA2 and Generals map packs. I also need to send the prizes.

The prize part is really being a nightmare. After some research, I've concluded that FedEx is the safest bet, even being a bit more expensive. The price of the postage is something close to 465 dollars, so if you plan to organize an event with prizes, think twice or order them all from Amazon.com and/or similar services. If the sponsor(s) refuse to send manually the prizes for each winner, I suggest refusing the sponsor. At least, this is my personal experience with OMC that I'll apply for whatever event that I organize, if I organize.

The Support Us feature in the right menu is our way to collect money for new events. As soon as we receive enough money to organize an event, we'll start one here. Those who donate will have a prioritive word on what will be the next event (1 point per dollar) and those who do not donate will only have one point. At this exact moment, my paypal has $220 dollars, which is a good ammount, but it doesn't even pay OMC, so do not expect a new event anytime soon, unless donations increase considerably. The donations will be spent to either send prizes or buy prizes for the winners. I won't take a single cent of it.

Anyway, back to the Map Pack, it has all 14 submissions (including the 2 disqualified ones), however, some maps were fixed or improved since then. It also comes with judge rates and all behind the scenes information. It was very hard to organize an event of the size of the OMC3, although the community support for it was great and a very nice ammount of maps, specially TS ones.

And don't apologise for anything, you're doing your best, no one can ask more than that.
You're doing a good job, Banshee.

A little idea. You could say that the one that donated the most could get a custom rank....

I've still got some money on my PP and I can't send it back to the bank for some reason and I can't be arsed to figure out why so I'll just send what I've got, if I remember that is Smile

Don't blame yourself for the postage, wasn't EA supposed to handle it? I mean, they clearly have money enough.

Good to see the mappack released anyway, good work Banshee!

I just wish I could get FinalSun working again, stopped doing so after I installed TFD. 0.o

Clazzy is hacking your P.C. ! Laughing

I'll see if I can donate something (just take that as a yes). Don't expect it any time soon, though, probably in a few weeks, because I don't have time to figure things out right now.

Cool, I got it to work, just extracted the Finalsun and opened the exe and changed the direcotry path. Now I just have to find a way to remove that annoying sound when you put out new terrain #Tongue
