So...another year for Overlord. Its sickening. We tote Overlord as the climax of the European theater, yet it hasent been mentioned on one news station i've seen, not even the BBC, which is a terrible dissapointment to me. What, is it that important that we only think of it every ten years? Rolling Eyes I suppose all the superstitions around the date are more important then one of the greatest battles of history. People are ztyping stupid.

We remember the end of the war, which is a far more momentus occasion. Remember that there were lots of other battles, many of which were also on a massive scale, such as Operation Bagration. This was the largest land assault in history, and virtually crippled the German Wehrmacht. I don't recall anyone remembering the first day of this battle at all.

its because of the paronoia about today which is why it hasn't been mentioned and I think that is an insult not just to WW2 veterans but to all veterans.
