Vanishing for a festival
So I'm heading off to Download Festival 2006 to see a lot of bands and won't be back till around the 12th at which time Twisted Malice will resume production.
And despite the fact none of you will give a crap have a list of bands which own and are going to be there:
Friday:
Tool
Deftones
Coheed and Cambria
Soil
Soulfly
Atreyu
Saturday
Metallica
Korn
Trivium
Stone Sour
Arch Enemy
Alice In Chains
Within Temptation
Billy Talent
Sunday
Guns n' Roses
Bullet For My Valentine
Cradle Of Filth
Lacuna Coil
In Flames
36 Crazyfists
Breed 77
The Prodigy
Alexisonfire
Soilwork
Leaving in about 20 minutes, shoving some songs on my zen for the trip down and called in. I only listed bands I want to see their - making it a pretty good weelemd for me. QUICK_EDIT
Vanishing for the Secret City festival next week, 16/17th in Oak Ridge, Tennessee...a Celebration of "The Secret City" as it was once known when Oak Ridge was formally a Military City of Nuclear weapon productionism... _________________ ... QUICK_EDIT
Ill pay you to kidnapp Jon from KoRn. he so r0xx0rs your b0xx0rs.
Sadly, Jon was ill in hopsital - I was however treated to KoRn playing with a number of other frontmen:
'It's On' (with Jesse Hasek from 10 Years)
'Falling Away' (with M Shadow from Avenged Sevenfold)
'Somebody' (with Dez Fafara from Devildriver)
'Coming Undone' (with Dez Fafara from 'Devildriver')
'A.D.I.D.A.S.' (with Benji Webbe from Skindred)
'Clown' (with Corey Taylor from Stone Sour/Slipknot)
'Freak' (with Corey Taylor from Stone Sour/Slipknot)
'Blind' (with Matt Heafy from Trivium)
It was also insanely hot for the UK the whole weekend - sweat, dried dirt and music work so well together - forming the lovely thing known as filthy people. QUICK_EDIT
not gonna be one matey, the riots on sunday night ruined it forever, or so i've been told...
Worst 4 days of my life i must say, most boring job (yes i was in a orange jacket waving at cars like an idiot).

Didnt get to see one band, nor a break
Especially the staff it'd seem.. Not seeing ANY bands would have sucked mind. Of course half the people there stayed in their tents doing drugs till The Prodigy was on anyway.
There was worse rioting at leeds last year - tents set on fire with people ztyping in them all over the place. One of the girls I was camping with had to flee because her tent was lit up and had to stay at a hotel she found and get a £40 taxi to the nearest hotel. It'll be on again, even with the rioting they'll have made obscene amounts of money. I'll wait to see the line up for next year and I'll probably be going if there's at least say... 10 bands I want to see. I just hope it's not as ztyping hot. QUICK_EDIT
all the people working there we're all actualy very logical and intelectual people(well most) They just wern't told anything, and all you lot were expecting us to know the shortest route to the red campsite.. or the nearest petrol station, and when we didnt tell them, you'd get mardy, and then you'd get abuse told to ztype off (and then complain about that). Everybody asumed we were involved in organising the thing lol, i came, they took me to a gate, and says, don't let anyone out, only let people in! Then they walked away and came back at 5 to tell me i'd finished. Biggest mistake i've ever made for a job, but i suppose i know i can now stand telling 65,000 where to go in extremely hot weather QUICK_EDIT

I asked no one who worked their for anything - I'm not so retarded that I don't know how to follow signs or a map. You all worked at a music festival - what were you expecting other than people asking a staff member where things were? If you were in a supermarker you'd expect the staff to be able to tell you where the beans are, same as you'd expect staff at a festival to tell you where to go for a campsite.

Ouch
I'd have spent less but I bought 2 t-shirts £20 for a normal one and £28 for a long sleeve one plus I had to drink gallons of water at £2 a bottle. QUICK_EDIT
no doubt, no doubt, we just weren't told the answers, so when we didnt i said i didnt know, people got angry.. people nearly got a smack, n i nearly got fired cos a bunch of little emo depressent fools try n give it the biggun(however i instinctivly knew they all get bullied back home and would back down after a simple threat ).
if i asked someone a question and they said "sorry mate, don't know, if u go 100 yards that way, which is the direction your going and ask the people in the yellow who your meant to ask it'll be much easier".
i'd be like thanks, take care.
simple.. or so you'd think.
not all of em are retards, only like 20%. the only realy nice people there were foriegners lol... QUICK_EDIT
