Revora Cameo Competition

Jeeves is organizing a Cameo Competition on Revora. For those who want to improve their cameo skills, this is a nice oportunity to send your best cameo. Your submission will be evaluated by few judges and you'll be challenging some of the best cameo makers of the moment. Here's the rules:

RULES

* One Cameo per entrant.
* Unit, or screenshot depicting the unit represented must be supplied in the entry.
* Cameo must be correct size and any common graphics format (SHP, GIF, Jpeg, Bitmap, etc...).
* Entries may be posted, or sent to Jeeves via PM, MSN, or Email.
* Entries to be submitted by the 17th of July, 12:00 AEST (GMT+10).
* Deadline may be extended if a request for the extension is made before the given date.

JUDGING

* Will be done by Jeeves, Gamemate, and Blaat85.
* Will be out of 50 points, based on the following criteria:
1. Consistency with RA2 or TS styles. Max: 10 points.
2. Unit depiction. Must look like the supplied unit. Max: 10 points.
3. Unit position. If not positioning looks in any way off, blocked by text, etc. Max: -5 points.
4. Palette usage. If original game palettes are used, and used well. Max: 5 points.
5. Image quality. If doesn't look overly blurry, discolored, etc. Max: -5 points.
6. The pie factor. Anything not mentioned above, technical skill, creativity, willing to use it, etc. Max: 25 points.

We'll be watching this competition here and posting the results, once they are released. OS SHP Builder has a cameo generator that might be useful, however, it might not be enough (some of those photoshop magics will enhance your result considerably).

You say that, but if you use the photoshoped image as the background to a blank cameo, OS SHP builder is a great way to add the textbar and/or elite symbol Wink

I'm a fan, and with that little trick, theres no excuse not to enter! Very Happy
