I am modifying the countries in ra2 and adding the iranian-israeli conflict into the game.
I've changed the names etc. now i only need to change the load screen and the flags which are displayed in skrimish and multiplayer.
If I'm right, they should be in the original ECACHE file which i cant find in ra2 directory. How can i extract it from the game or where can i download it?

And explain me how to extract files from .mix format or if you have an idea tell me where exactly i need to put the flag files so they will be seen in the game + if you have a way to gwt them on my comp, maybe downloading or something.

Original ecache? No, they are on local.mix, inside ra2.mix.

Merged two country-editing topics. (Right, as if this forum has a"Merge topics" function. -_- )

This tutorial explains how to use XCC Mixer. Hint, Mixer has a "search" function you can use to see where those flags are.

TNX.
..............
Ive tried this, found the flag and edited it.
I returned it to the file as PCX and placed the LOCAL.mix into the ra2 directory.
When i start the game, in skrimish mode for example, i can see only blank place instead of the flag itself.
What is the problem?

Don't put new files into original game files. You are just asking for trouble. Do what everybody does, create new ecache##.mix or expand##.mix and put your files there. Or use XCC Mod Creator which automatically places the files where they belong.

I have problems using this program. I better build the mod the way i know...

I found that the flag file is in the ra2.mix>local.mix
I have extracted the "local.mix" and edited the flag in it.
Then i have those 2 problems i was talking about in PM.

look copy a small mix file like tem or something, use xcc mixer to delete all its crap then rename it expand01 say if its ra2, place your flag inside as a pcx with same name.

Expand.mix? But the flag file is in local.mix...
ANYWAY, i tried this way but still - blank.
Maybe its format problem? Some PCX option or something?
