my own crashing problem
i have created 2 new MMK II's both with different weapons.
as they are merely modifications of the original (no changes to canvas size, only recolored, as i will texture them with PS, and autonormals.... and the different cannons on the body, but again, no canvas size changes.)
so i used renamed versions of the MMKII's HVA, as i didnt want to animate it again. (2x 4 upper legs, 4 lower legs and 4 feet, thats horror)
now when i put it ingame with the mammoth's art.ini entry the game stops loading at "gathering intel on involved factions..."
when i change the tag "voxel=yes" to "no" it just loads. but of course, the unit doesnt appear ingame then the only changes in the rules.ini are railgun weapon change, and techlevel=9 (i never play at 10 during the tesing of a new unit) _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. Did you try the unit in a hva program, to see if it appears okay?
Because to me, it sounds like a corrupt voxel/hva, which is common if you're not careful when doing work on a multi-part voxel. _________________ If there is a problem on the forums, PM me. QUICK_EDIT

hmm... but where could the problem be... i didnt change any of the size values. and i really dont want to animate it twice. neither will it be as good as westwoods version. _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT
If the hva is corrupted, you can try and copy the MK.II HVA again.
If the voxel is corrupted.. I think you're screwed. Sometimes it just happens.
If you try and view it in the old vxl editor, and save, when its a multi-section, it'll screw it up. _________________ If there is a problem on the forums, PM me. QUICK_EDIT
