C&C Most Useless Units!

Last week, Hexetic released his block buster movie of the year at Planet CnC. It's the C&C Most Useless Units movie that shows some of the most useless units from all C&C games and gives a special attention to the umbeatable Technician, from Tiberian Dawn.

I've watched 6 or 7 times already, to be honest, because the movie is hilarious, specially the Limpet Drone story. It's easy to understand Hex (he doesn't speak fast) and it has several funny stories inside it, with Brute (YR), Limpet Drone (TS), Jumpjet (TS), Medic (RA1), Thief (RA1) and much more. I don't use TiberiCard, but I like Jumpjet units for defense only. Using it to attack your enemies is usually a waste of money, except in very few special cases when the human player is a hell of a rusher. I had one of these special cases once where I've beaten one of these guys with a group of jumpjets when my base was severed.

I belive the only use for JJ's besides Arial base defense is scouting for enemy bases

Some of that movie i would have to disagree with.

The repear was made to destroy infantry. Jump jets are very usefully i use them all the time. Limpet Drone is also unit that is very useful. He's just showing them in unfair circumstances.

Same goes for brutes. Brutes are very powerful and also very week. in unfair circumstances.

That's how you know you have a good game. when units are made for certain things and you have an unfair advantage to win a fight. if every thing did the same about of damage then you might as well just have one unit.

But i will have to agree the Medic and Technician were pretty useless. The Medic should only be used for infantry wars though... a vehicle vs human is just unthinkable. I personally think that infantry are to strong in RTS games. A tanks shell can easy kill 5 infantry in real life but this is a game so the tables are turned to make it fair.

But none the less it was a rather funny video.

Nah, the Limpet was a pretty useless unit. Expensive for being a unit that you have to hope the enemy would come into contact with - (Being only one sector big.) And it only shows you what the enemy unit explores, unlike the terror drone, which eventually destroyed the infected unit, and was much cheaper....
