PCGamer subscribers already received the October's edition with a new article about C&C 3. According to Lion, from CNCDEN, who received one of these goodies, the article can be shorted in the following way:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"-Amazing effects on the screen with the new particle system. Vastly improved smoke, fire, explosions, tracers, haze, and weather effects.

-The 'user interface' is a side-bar that will allow you to build units quickly from different production structures, build structures in multiple production queues, select and control grouped units with ease, and activate upgrades and abilities for single units or groups of units.

-New 'information warfare' dynamic. Allows you to spoof the enemy's radar, confuse their sensors, and alter what they see on the screen.

-Upgrades include mine laying, rail guns, track enemy units by tagging them with sensor pods, jump jets, mortars, stealth tech, etc.

-Infantry units behave more realistic; they will take cover, can dig in and create fortifications, and become surpressed when coming under fire.

-New AI and new spectator modes for multiplayer."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Very interesting concepts, to be honest. I'm now curious to see this sidebar working. EA is still trying to hide us the Scrin side... but do not fear: they came from outerspace.

All of that sounds very interesting. I'm especially interested in the abilities to mess with enemy radar/sensors which sounds much like the unused TS superweapon concepts for Nod. I'm also curious to see just how realistic soldiers dig in. Will it be simple like RA2 deployers or something much more (advanced trench/foxhole creating)? Lastly, it's good to see minelayers again.
