First of all, ladies and gentlemen: happy birthday to the first ever released Command & Conquer game! 11 years ago, Tiberium Dawn was released. Also, happy birthday for YR Argentina, launched 5 years ago.

With this downtime sorted, it's easier to check the external news. So, here's our quick round up:

Command & Conquer 3:

-> Three german C&C fans (Junker, MrYuRi and LabZ conducted an interview with Mike Verdu on Leipzig and they've posted an english translation at GameReplays.

It's a very interesting interview confirming no mobile bases, ships for single player only, major expectation mode for thousands of people, system requirements similar to BfME 2. It's highly recommended to read the interview for more information.

-> Have you ever pre-ordered BattleField 2142? What does it have to do with Command & Conquer? It may sound weird, but some people who pre-ordered it, have found a wallpaper with the Nod Avatar Mech in the free USB flash drive that comes with it. Check it out at the upcomming CnC Vision.

Releases:

-> There is a newer version of C&C 95 Global Lan Edition, which allows people to play C&C 95 on Windows 2000/XP online in a lagless server, instead of Hamachi. It supports The First Decade.

Community News:

-> GamesModding has been redesigned and now it features a mod list. That site also links over 1400 tutorials for an absurd ammount of games. Hail the Google of modding!

-> CnC Guild is needing an active news poster. If you are up for the job, post HERE.

-> TiberiumWars.de is a new C&C3 site for german people.

Articles:

-> CnC King has wrote a new article on CNCNZ called Generation VeXed about the evolution of the C&C multiplayer gaming. Let's say he is quite unhappy with this 'GameReplays rushing playing style' and he does some funny comparisons and... he's mad at what he calls the 3rd generation of mp players.

-> At Planet CnC, Ghorkov has written an article called Answering Renegade which questions the way Renegade fitsthe C&C tiberium storyline.

Generals Mods:

-> At IsoTX, there is a new map pack for Middle east Crisis made by Bhones. Does anyone remember him? He won the Generals/Zero Hour section of the Open Map Competition. So, the maps are definitelly great.

-> Vietnam: Glory Obscured has some new screenshots and models displayed in their site.

-> Epic Generals 1.5, the Tournament Edition, has been announced! Ambershee is putting some hard work on it after releasing the latest Epic Generals, one year and a half ago.

-> An Act Of War is back online.

Red Alert 2 Mods:

-> Mig Eater has been posting a lot of new voxels from D-Day like this:

-> Speeder is working hard on Mental Omega 2.0b, which will come, among with many changes, with a tech slider for the meat grinder mode. So, you can select the technology level in this mod. Honestly, get that slider to the minimum value and let's rock with a GI and Conscript war #Tongue.

And finally, if you wanna watch the APOC playing C&C3 alpha as Nod on Lepizig, head to CNCHQ.de and download it. It's a 102mb zip file, so make sure you have some free disk space available.
