Sad, Sad news in the Animal World.
Subject description: "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin Killed in Marine Accident.
I really liked this guy! He's a good zoologist. I admired his work. He was killed when a Stingray barb went through his chest while filming a documentary.

left behind 2 children and a wife for shits sakes...What a damn tragedy. I'll be watching Crocodile Hunter documentaries instead of 9/11 ceremonies this september. Any reaction from Terri Irwin yet? _________________ PPM's Reichstrollfuherer, 236th Trollenparties brigade. QUICK_EDIT
Im sure she was aware before the news came out globaly online, otherwise that would be fuked up :S. I will miss the Crocodile Hunter, but I guess this leaves room for the Snake master to replace him on discovery/animal planet channel... _________________
I've just read the sad news. I liked his show, he was an icon of Animal Planet. It's pretty ironical, I mean he worked... and played with the worlds deadliest animals, and died because of a damn fish. I didn't watch his recent shows because I don't have Animal Planet (btw, Rogers sux), but I'll miss his show. QUICK_EDIT
Everyone knows this is a tragedy and shouldn't be happened.. The event completey ruined my day causing me to be sad and I actually cried when I saw this movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OE2hy7OAlMk . I don't care what anyone thinks of this but I think he did more good things then most "important" figures in the world today... I was a big fan of him and I actually saw myself in this guy because I love crocodiles, lizards, snakes and all other animals normal people would be afraid of just as much as he did. His enthousiastic approach of educating the people and showing animals in their natural habitats absolutely thrilled me. It's a damn shame there are so little people like him on this earth.. I'm sure if there were we wouldn't be in a world of shit like we are now, and animals like the tiger, seaturtles and so on would not be in danger of extinction. Numerous times he has been bitten, stung and scratched by all kinds of animals imaginable and he still loved them with all his heart.
I'm sure millions of people feel the same like me.
For me.. I feel a sense of defeat
All the good guys go too soon..

She's in Tasmania currently filming a documentary according to either BBC or CNN. Poor man...left behind 2 kids and a wife. I hope Terri continues her work with animals, but surely will, considering how they pratically built Austrailia Zoo to what it is today. QUICK_EDIT
Beeing and aussie it is ratehr sad news to hear and Terri did hear about the news b4 it went to air arround the world she was infact on a trecking excursion in Tassie... The australia Zoo as i herd this morning will still be open for buisness in memory of Steve and me myself think that this bloke really out to still be here and i agree with most (if not all) of you here about him and his work and he might have 'had it comming' but he engoyed his work and many many people benifited from it.... i wish Terri, Bindi and little bob all the best and my condolences for their loss there was/is noone quite like Steve and there probably never will be again for quite some time...

lmao... He was killed by a sting ray not a damn fish. Sting rays are part of the words deadliest animals. There stingers are full of deadly venom... _________________
A ray belongs to the shark family and is therefore still a fish... _________________ Criticizing n00bs is like booing at the special olympics. QUICK_EDIT

This is a very sad thing. I always enjoyed watching him. What a great person, he will truly be missed.
However, I hear that he removed the barb of the stingray from his body, which pretty much doomed him.
One of my friends said today at school, "if he hadn't removed that barb, he would of had a 50/50 chance of survival."
I dont think it would of been that high tho.
Even worse, he died only about 11 hours before my grandmother passed on, making my last day of vacation highly miserable. _________________ YR modder/artist, DOOM mapper, aka evanb90

actualy, the change could've been 50/50, because of the fact that the barb, though it had gone through his chest and done some pretty bad damage, may stop the inside-bleending, or at least slow it down a bit.

Man, that makes me even more happy that I have all my grandparents alive, and come to think of their age... o_o _________________
