IVI MRP-T6 'Jiao Sheng' IFV
Subject description: for the rebels et. al.
Overview:
Since the Secessionist troops and their enemy warlords, bandits and rival rebel groups are all heavily reliant on infantry warfare, having specialised AFVs to function as APCs and IFVs is very important. even highly shielded, re-forming ceramic armored IVI battle tanks can be brought down by enough RPGs... if only the RPG troopers can get into position alive.
IVI has developed a cheaper IFV for the small-time factions. The new IVI MRP-T6 'Jiao Sheng' IFV sports a bi-plate shielded 40mm Auto Cannon which uses old 40mm explosive propelled ammunition (described as EP in contrast to MD which is 'Mass Driver' propelled). EP ammo is still widely used even today 2050, many industries still manufacture these.
The IVI MRP-T6 'Jiao Sheng' proved its worth in the rout of Mengzi where Dai Viet revolutionaires utilized the IFVs to approach the entrenched Seng-Li troops. Seng Li troops moved their light armor comprised of 5 IVI SPAFV-15 Manglers and 6 IVI MRP-T5 Skippers forward the Dai Viet outpost, destroying the guard towers and ammunition depot. Meanwhile the Dai Viet Jiao Sheng group flanked the Seng-Li light armor, deploying RPG armed troops while providing cover with TOW missiles. The Seng-Li light armor was decimated but took with them 8 Hitoshi XV-150 transport trucks, 3 Jiao Sheng IFVs, 11 soldiers. having destroyed the light armor, the Dai Viet forwarded the IFVs towards the entrenched Seng-Li 155mm howitzers. While the howitzers scrapped the remaining transport trucks and war jeeps, High Explosive splash damage didn't do much against the Jiao Sheng's ceramic armor. the Dai Viet's Jiao Sheng squad closed the Seng-Li howitzers' range and were able to deploy their troops.. bringing a 2-day siege to an end.
