I have a really good idea for a mod, involving rules.ini, and i cant, for the life of me figure out how to make the rules.ini work. i have XCC mixer, 1.20 and i cant figure out how to put the ini into the .mix file please help. I extracted the .ini, modified it, and now i need to either put it in the .mix file, or whatever makes it work, im not sure exactly what i hafta do to make it work, please help.

You dont put the ini into the MIX. You put it into the RA2 directory.

Example:

----> C:\Program Files\Westwood\RA2\Rules(md).ini

Find the game directory of your version (TFD or retail) called RA2 open it and place your inis there. Once launched the game will automatically read and apply the ini.

It's only rulesmd.ini if it's Yuri's Revenge, and rules.ini for regular RA2. And yes, you stick it in the RA2.dir
