During its time, the M2 Bradley served an undoubtedly important military niche well. While the Bradley can be destroyed rather easily by heavier tanks, its capability to transport infantry safely and provide effective cover made it one of the best IFVs during the early 21st century.
When tiberium meteorites first made impact on the Earth, the brotherhood of Nod purchased hundreds of M2s to serve as their Main Battle Tank. While this was laughably disregarded by the GDI at first, when the first modified M2 Bradleys carrying 105mm cannons rolled out, it became clear that Nod was up to the World Domination game.
Later with the costly victory of GDI over Nod, the M2 Bradley lost its patron. The US along with the UN GDI stopped purchasing M2s to0 and funded new technology instead.
In 2048, old derelict M2 Bradleys were found in sparsely inhabited parts of Yellow-Zone Europe; remnants of the old Nod forces waiting for their 105mm cannon modification. IVI took the opportunity to purchase the armored artifacts from the discoverers and went to great lengths to study how it was built. IVI then reproduced the M2 Bradley with a total makeover, replacing the steel armor with a re-forming ceramic carapace, removing the fuel engine in favor of two small reactors, decreasing the transport capacity to make way of new equipment etc. Now the new M2 Bradley can only carry 4 passengers but is definitely combat worthy for anyone willing to buy this new restored AFV.

Another well done restored vehicle.
I still find it strange how in RA1 and TD, the sides are fighting with US weapons for the most part.
(For RA1 the Allies, both sides get their fair share of US equipment in TD) _________________ YR modder/artist, DOOM mapper, aka evanb90
