Part One: The Call of the Jackal

Dawn split like the light of Ra. The glimmer in his majestey's eyes was brighter than it had ever been. His hand momentarily ran across his halter, cleaning it of dust. It was now at least 7 o'clock Terra time. He was wearing full dress; Halter, kilt, half-robe, and the Royal Headress of Anpu so proudly upon his head. He watched as the morning winds swept over Barrix, New Cairo. He wondered, just how he had gottent his far. The sentate was no keen on this move. For Earth is a long ways away. But today would end the bickerings, the fights and the in fighting that had plauged the senate and its children for months. They would make for Earth. The whole fleet in tow. A pair of slender claw tipped hands slid over his shoulders.

"What a night, Tah. you truly are the king of the bed." she said with a sly grin. Tah'Harrik grinned and kissed her scaled hand, the gently formed scales like music to his toungue.
"Rescources have never been higher. The men are in good morale, and... You by my side, I feel earth is even closer than ever... We'll make it home Usha.. and Ill show you what the lord has shown me... the sands of true Egypt.... The pyramids themselves... It will all be within our grasp soon."

Talser stood and watched as the 31st Enforcer division marched by without error. He wore the customary commander's outfit; cargo vest ontop of a custom studded shoulder pad flanked desert tan shirt, cargo pants ending with his own custom made heavy duty Single-Toe boots. He studied each one of their scaled faces. Most of them had the customary facial body art; Temporary ink tattoos, peircings, and the occasional scarred scale. All of them wore gold ear rings, at least 8 each.
"The latest feild update, Sir." First Klavv Rithii handed Talser a clipboard and pen, and Talser began looking it over, verifying it with his signature that he'd looked over the document. He looked rather grimly, but he always did.

It seemed like everything was falling into place for his majesty Pharoabis Je'Hekall; Terra would be in his grasp, With the new warp techology being developed with components donated from the Vinarrians, They would reach Earth in half the origonally estimated time. The Tothan Sentate would finally rest, Civil uprising would be cut short, and Ushabturri - the Queen - was as ever pleased with his work in the sheets. But somthing left him unsettled. He had received a scroll with the encantations of the very Tablets themselves, and what seemed crude Templar. They spoke of the Ways of the Dead. this was the one thing that set his stomach awry. At the bottom they wrote a summon for the king himself to come to the caverns of Kell. could this be an assination atempt to stop the fleet from going into the vastness of space? Could this be a message from the gods themselves?

Later that night Tah roamed into the caverns with only two of his most trusted Templar body guards - Taal Ferrith and Fortrai Miennesk. Both fully trained Elite Gold Warriors. And his own full battle dress; gold plated Anubissian war armor, facemask of Anpu himself that covered his brows, forhead and down his temples and just abit down the nose. his flowing headress followed, along with a high tech battle suit that rendered most light gunshots useless. He carried his own double sided sword; Utaari.

It wasnt until they had gotten far into the Caverns of The Kell did they see him. He had nothing more than pedler's robes. And yet, his Pshyconic aura was stronger than any mere pedler.
Tah gave the all clear to his Aide's and they backed off the guard the entry. Tah stood before the robed figure.

"The stones from the stream will flow against you, and you will find only harship. Stay away from her during your plight, and all will be well, for both you and her." the Robed figure said in a raspy, tired, knowlegable voice.

"What do you speak of? Terra? and who is "she" ?" Tah responded kindly as possible.

"you will know in due time. Terra awaits your mighty army. But the gods do not await the split in love..... and neither do you." Before Tah could respond, the figure seemed to slither into another hallway, and leave almost mystyeriously. The low light prohibited any further inquiry.

By the time the three had made it back to the Temple, it was far past sleep time. The watch was out and her queen was impatient for the master to return to his chambers.
