tbh, it's mainly due to a lack of people actually being able to GET AHOLD of a copy of the thing, and it DOES sorta wreck the balance..

I mean.. GDI has an artillery, and Nod has a heavy fighting unit.

I don't really like the juggernaut or the reaper, I think the sides could easily do without them. I like the other unit additions though Smile

I've never played FS before, which is a shame.

I always liked Cyborg Reapers. Good way to defend harvesters and would win fights against most units provided they could easily get to tiberium.

well, the juggernaut is quite balancing it. NOD has artillery, so GDI has Juggernaut. I find the limpet drones quite usefull, but the teams could do without it.

other units are just ether over powered or just boring IMO #Tongue .

I would like Cyborg Reapers more if their missiles weren't Ranged by default. It's annoying to have Orcas flying in your Nod base, and Reapers fire their missiles at them and they don't follow them, they just explode overhead and damage your buildings below them. The Juggernaut IMO was a cool addition, but the Nod artillery was made from overpowered to a wimpy piece of crap only useful against stationary targets, whereas the Jugger can actually handle some moving targets, though not do much damage to them. The mobile factories and stealth generator are cool, especially when used together. Smile

IMO the artillery should have kept its damage but shouldn't have been able to hit moving targets.
I don't like the juggernaut as I feel that GDI didn't need it and it doesn't suit their mass-crap-loads-of-titans-and-heavy-tanks-and-win play-style. The reaper wasn't really a Nod thing either - direct assault.

The missions are great but online just sucks and isn't really helped with slowdown when building low costing things.

I never really understood why that happens. I mean it's to do with the engine (I assume), but why should it slow down when making cheap units/buildings?

Because for some reason it wants to make sure the "Building... " animation, gclock, animates at a certain minimum speed. In RA2 we can just switch to another tab, you might try scrolling the list so that anim goes out of sight.

Soo.. theoretically, if we just replace that anim with a blank anim, it'd go away?

No, because it would still play it, you just wouldnt see it. And if it was only one frame then wouldn't the slow down be loads worse?

When I tried making less frames in that anim, it automagically added several blank frames to ensure the animation has 55 (IIRC) frames. Silly hardcodings.
