Subject description: Hunter has forgot to hunt!
Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread

Ok, so I downloaded Judeau's Organized Rules.ini few days ago, and decided to begin re-writing my mod to a fresh rules.ini. Yesterday I noticed that every time I or the AI tries to launch a Hunter-seeker droid, it pops out of the building, but gets stuck on the ground, and doesn't fly away. I can't even destroy them. I tried to look over the hunter seeker codes, but I didn't see anything wrong (I looked over to the original rules to see how they were supposed to be). Any clue where the problem is so I (or someone else) could find it and fix it?

Without the coding, I cant really say much. Just make sure it has the HunterSeeker=yes tag, and the correct locomotor:

Did you create any new units that have special functions?
Did you create/remade superweapons?

The HunterSeeker rules don't necessary have to be changed for it to cease working. Sometimes if you make changes to other entries or add new ones more than just that entry is effected.
For example:
A while ago I was creating a deployable Barracks, everything seemed to be in-order, except that I could no longer build Tech Centers (Which I know I did not edit) for some odd reason.

My suggestion would be retrace your steps, if the problem persists try to create your new entries in a different way which will not effect the Hunter Seeker

DonutArnold checked the rules with me twice, and we found no errors that could affect the Hunter Seeker. I thought the problem might be in the weapon, that it somehow cannot use or something, but the codes were exactly the same as in the original rules.

Again, the Hunterseeker entry doesn't have to change.
I didn't touch the Tech center entry when I created the new barracks. But it still fucked up my tech center. My suggestion would be to do the same thing I did:
I restored my original rules and redid the mobile barracks in a different way, as a result there were no issues. Problem is, there might be only one way to do the thing you did, and you might have done so many changes you don't know where to start.

Either way, sucks to be you #Tongue
Good luck though.

This is useless unless you show your code, I vote to make it an ultimate rule that unless you show your code visually somehow the topic gets deleted, showing the bloody code makes it 99% easier instead of us posting and waiting for you to get back to us. Check the Hunter Seeker unit itself and check the Hunterseeker section in the rules.ini, infact post them up before doing anything so we can all try to help you with it, otherwise.
