Hello again, this is my 4th voxel. It has been kept on the shelf for a while because there was a barrel problem on it that I couldn't fix.
Now I fixed it, and I thought I'd give a preview

The inspiration is the sig I made a while ago, and the vehicle is also seen in my MS Paint Base sig...


I'm going to rework it: make it bigger, and a little brighter so that you can tell what it is #Tongue
It looked alot better in the voxel editor than it does in the game

Ew...its hideous imo. The model itself is fine but the colouring is just godawful. on the Bottom left, bottom, and bottom right facings I can hardly see the barrel and turret on the bloody thing. And the headlights are pink for some reason. The remap is too much, too obvious, too.

I changed the headlights after I posted the screenshot, they should be OK now; for some reason the color I used originally switched between pink, green, and white..
yeah, I'll have to rework it sometime; make it a little bigger, and make some parts a little lighter so the shape is esier to see.
That's what's difficult is because the voxel always seems to look better in the voxel editor than in the actual game.

You'll probably find the reason for the colour errors were because you used either the first 16 colours in the palette, or the last 16 colours in the palette.

The design seems interesting, however you really can't see it ingame.

The voxel is a little small, the detail (namely the red on the sides) is a little too much compared to everything else.
The problem with black units, is its damn hard to get the shape to be properly shown ingame. Try using a slightly lighter shade of grey/black, with dark highlights for details and on the edges, or vice-versa.

That is one, small, wrong colored, voxel! I think the concept it pretty cool, but somehow, it either messed up the voxel in game, only 16 color, or, you just suck at voxels (you seem actually pretty good but this one turned out not so good).

Give a bright colour to the underside of the turret, and give the barrel a brighter colour grey if you want them to be definable ingame.

Getting things to show up nicely is about detail, but also about contrast, if there is a lot of detail, but the colours are too closely together in the spectrum, you really won't be able to see them ingame.

So just a little bit of a more contrasting colour can help you define details.

But I can see a bit of an improvement, you're doing well.

Yeah, definitely an improvement!

I have to agree with Bonzy.. the writing/stuff on the side of the tracks doesn't look overly great.

Could we also get a scale shot of it next to another unit, like the Tick Tank, as I'm worried its still a little on the small size.

I like all three to be honest. The first one I liked simply because its refreshing to have real dark coloured units instead of grey.

that's nice concept Team Black but it's too small!Confused work on larger models so you could put in all the nice details Smile .

tanks should be at least around 45 voxels long, 25 voxels wide and around 12-15 voxels tall so that they'd look decently sized.

I'll bet if you make your Team Black tank larger it'll look tons better Idea
