It's finally time to finish the Spotlighted TS Maps of the first quarter of the year. I've analysed 3 maps, but only two were spotlighted in the end. So, we have 8 spotlighted maps on only 3 months which is an excelent rate.

Lonely River (2) - by The Raven

The Raven is a great mapper that appeared in the end of the last year with several spotlighted maps. His latest one, Lonely River, is a temperate 2 players map, one of the best I've played so far. It features a tiberium infested region with ruins of a city. Each base has a fair amount of tiberium to grow, however, the tiberium in the center becomes very important in the middle of the game. Each base has several entrances and strategical points that needs protection, which makes this map to bring one of the best gameplay experiences you'll have with TS maps. The AI plays well and will proove to be a nice challenge.

FS Salibian Desert (2-3) - by Aro

FS Sabilian Desert is the second spotlighted map from Aro in this yea. It is a temperate small 3 players map with asome tiberium infestation and a great lighting that really makes it look like a desert. Each base has several choke points to defend and a small amount of tiberium that obligates players to fight for the tiberium in the other regions of the map. This map is very small, which means that it's easy to scout, but AI attacks very early, specially if you have a very fast computer.

(Note: Requires Firestorm)

And that's all for now, people. Eight top notch maps to enjoy in the next days. You can submit your TS maps to the Tiberian Sun Map Archive. Avoid uploading 'undetailed online maps'. If you make public maps, make sure those who will download it will enjoy it and, the most important note: test your map before posting it! Enjoy all the maps available there. Remember that the spotlighted maps are featured in our left menu, at the Tiberian Sun section there. Thanks for everyone who has posted maps and keep incoming, commander!

The maps are high quality and all, but I can't help feeling a bit tired of the dark/green setting. Don't we ever get maps with daylight anymore?

Lol. The same trend exists with TS Snow maps. Everything has to be blue and purples. BE ORIGINAL, People!

Im not a fan of the night lighting on these maps. Its boring. I mean that maps are really High quality, Just the lighting sucks. For example both Shiny mountain and the lonely river use night lighting.
