Im working on a mod but i dont have a name yet, Its based shortly before the meteor strike at the river tiber. The name im thinking of at the moment is Before the Storm, whats everyones thoughts? Also i have drawn my first concept sketch of an Allied MCV that might get used.(excuse the bluriness, i took a photo of it cus i dont have a scanner).

Hmm, I like the allied concept mcv.

The soviet MCV looks like it has a beam cannon on it, or something like that Laughing

It's a good name, but are you trying to link RA with TD?

You can name it like 'nemesis' (or was it 'genesis', I'm not good in Greek/latin, or what ever it is) or 'Silence before the storm', something like that.

Im coming up with a link but its not finished yet. I'm sure heaps of people have come up with a version of their own though. I'm going along the lines that RA2 never happened lol. this is to avoid the clash of mind control and to much time travel technologies. RA2 was to fanciful in these respects and i want to try and maintain the more realistic approach of that of RA1 and try to tie it in with TD's storyline. In other words realistic, serious but still fun to play. Also the pace of RA2 should be maintained to keep the mod interesting. I think that silence before the storm is a good idea, but it wasn't really silent lol. Or do you mean it was silent compared to what is going to happen. I see what you mean about the soviet MCV and i can fix that in no time. I've also made pre concept drawings of the deployed forms of both MCV's so they should be up by tomorrow as well.

Whats with all the Nuclear crap and the Soviet MCV? Do they have a Nuclear fetish? Ditch that and make the Con Yard-MCV and other Soviet buildings look like real RKKA buildings. Neutral Everybody wants to paint Hammers and Sickles on the Soviets, so I give you an internet for avoiding that.

Yeah the nuke symbols dont really fit. Not all symblols on the soviet MCV are nuclear though, the four on the front two tanks are flamable. the last two on the remaining two towers are the nuke symbols. Now im trying to find appropriate places to add the hammer and sickle. Coming up next is the Iraq/Iran and Chinese MCV's and Conyards.

Dont add the hammer and sickle, for the love of God. Dont.

Use the Red Star or the Crest of the U.S.S.R. The H&S is for ceremonies and is a political symbol. The Red Star is the military insignia.

That is a great idea, will have updated sov conyard in no time. Also along with the Iraq\Iran and Chinese conyards and MCV's, ill also have the Allied and Sov powerplants done.

This it the point in time where i should start making these into shps and voxels. The warfactories, radars, techlabs, powerplants and an allied helipad concept images have been done for allied, russian, iraq/iran and china. Theres to many to post so ill start posting screenies within a week or so depending on how my studies go.

Its just going to be Russia. I think that communism in the U.S.S.R was overthrown due to the huge defeat they suffered by the allies and also the death of stalan. Russia was brokendown much earlier than in reallife and was also turned into a democracy lol. not for long. Kane used this peace to establish himself better with the hopes of overturning governments some day, so key members of this new russian government secretly supported kane, others went missing without question and replaced. soon russia started stockpiling arms again, selling some to other countries. Soon russia invades the remains of its former self to reclaim them and restore the power of the U.S.S.R, Not without a fight though, The allies have stepped in to stop this. That's the basic gist of the story atm but its not set in concrete, i'll look at abit os russian history but im not that good at poiltics so we'll see. I still have to find some way to involve iraq,iran and china in another theatres. But it will only be the Russian side with a hint of nod technology. What about Ukraine, Georgia, Afghanistan and the one that Borat's from Kazistan lol.

Albania soviet? Desu, the Albanian army are a bunch of n00bs, they can't defend themselves, let alone attack anyone.

Hmm, nice concepts, but you need sharper pics. Maybe try to take the pictures in more light?

name for the mcvs maybe

soviet = The Fanatics ( only for example^^^^) - Robot Buillding Yard
allied = Northern Light Fighters - Construction Fortress

lol, i dont think so. There is going to be no soviets in this mod, just russians. There wont even be a need for a symbol, just their flag.
