Anyway, on any april first we always cover the news (or jokes) from other sites. So, here's a quick overview:
-> Planet CnC: They were recently bought by EA and there is a press release posted by Mike Verdu with more details. They've also posted an awesome review of Command And Conquer 3. It's the best review written for the game so far and explains the game on every single detail. I totally agree with it, the graphics are aweful and the OS requirements are ridiculous
-> CnC Source actually gets into more details on EA's Planet CnC aquisition, because they haven't bought only Planet CnC. They've bought the whole earth. Weirdly enough, I wasn't aware that Earth was being sold and I wasn't aware it was so cheap. Anyway, I guess all your base are belong to EA now, or should I call it Earth?
-> Derelict Studios has announced a new C&C3 mod called Bliztkrieg: Axis and Angels that will give you a completely different perspective from the World War 2. You'll possess the souls of the dead soldiers/civilians and you'll make them fight against the nazis or against the allies... I mean, their dead souls, of course. There are more details on their site as well as a half-asse...errr.. half finished model that will be featured in the mod.
-> (Thanks Lion): How bout buying the Floppy Disk Version of Command & Conquer 3? You'll get over 1400 floppy disks. Very confortable to install it and you'll probably have to change disks when loading the movies from the campaigns... have you ever thought about that? At least, you won't need a DVD reader...
And that ends our april's fools coverage. Of course, I forgot one thing: At the Official C&C site, you can download 4 musics that are featured on C&C 3. Very interesting deal! Check it out at http://www.commandandconquer.com
