Tiberian Sun: Platinum Gallery (Manual contents etc)

Don't complain about quality I lack a digital camera and scanner. So these were taken via my webcam.

Sadly as far as I noticed the Manual's concept art and renders are already all available online. Bar a couple of images I didn't recognise (Firestorm Defence render, Waste Facility render) of course I probably just think I haven't seen them and have.

first of all I think this is the orrigonel manuel except autograpghed I got when I bought the Firepower box set which gave me that manuel TS TS:FS and the soundtrack CD that has most but not all of the TS:FS themes

secoundly Westwood had a brain fart in making this manuel they mixed up a couple of cameos

Mix up 1. Cyborg and Rocket infintry Have been Mixed up
Mix up 2. The Missile Silo and the Waste Facility have Been mixed up that's why you didn't recognise it

Notice that the Kodiak has a cameo

You'd be wrong:
1) Manual is identical bar a couple of things relating to prerelease (e.g. saying 'Communications Centre' is upgradeable), and a whole 'The making of TS section' with 'platinum edition' text wrote on it.
2) The Cameos are indeed mixed up I was referring to the RENDER though. As in in the one in the 'Making of' section.
3) The soundtrack is identical across versions.

The original manual is NOT this one. The original manual bears a picture off the cover of the TS box, as in this:

This version has the whole 'Making of TS' section with concept art, quotes, exclusive pictures and is signed. See this:

I have no idea if they decided to ship the Platinum manual with Firepower but I know my TS as I have 4 copies of it. Two are the original larged boxed copies.

Also I do like the alternative logos and box art....

there is no making off section in mine but the cover is the same and with the same screw ups but no auto grapghs or making of and no weed facility render. mine says radar instalation not comm center and metions nothing about upgrades.

did you know that the upgrade center is part of the scrapped Dropship Bay?

Also the cameos are mixed in the standard TS manual

@Carnivean - Do you think you could get better pics of those alternate logos, very interesting, i have never seen them before!

Bigger pictures, best I could do for the moment.

I prefer the Top Right one over the current personally.

Also looking at (and reading too much into) this:

The fact it says 'Lifeforms' seems to relate strongly to the FS ending and Kane clones controlling CABAL, no? - it definitely shows they were planning on the CABAL storyline for FS while working on TS. Based solely on the line "CABAL is exactly what the dictionary describes" line.

If you could get a high quality scan, lined up correctly of the first logo, I think I will be able to restore it...

but its no big deal, im just messing around

Or if I was good with Adobe Illustrator and vector images.... but im not #Tongue

That third logo is the best, but the first one is good too. Quite a nice font.

I've got no access to a scanner so that's not really possible, if I do get access to one I'll probably scan the entire bonus content of the platinum manual.

I just noticed something strange. The first logo (the one smiffgig tried to restore) looks like the Sole Survivor logo. The other two are kind of RA1/2-style.

that's obvious, Tiberian Sun belongs to the Tiberian saga, like TD and Sole Survivor (and Renegade), so they share the same logo basis.
